This lift works as advertised for my purposes. The overall quality seems good except for the following manufacturing issues. The illustrations show the locking bar with a clip that goes through a hole in the end. The clip was found loose in the bottom of the box, but there was no hole in the end of the locking bar, so I had to drill it. Also, there is a short bushing that connects the threaded plug at the base of the cylinder to the bolt and knob that turns to release or hold the pressure. A small pin that connects the bushing to the plug was somehow sheared off, requiring another drilling to remove the broken pin head and to replace it with a cotter key. The third issue is with a bracket that hangs down in front of the bolt and release knob. It has a hole near the lower end to support the release knob and align it with the threaded plug. It was not properly aligned before it was welded to the frame so the knob would not align with the plug. (as a side note, I worked for a time as a Quality Control inspector in the welding area of a manufacturing plant. The welders had a large assortment of jigs that were used to ensure correct alignment of one piece to the other. I guess this plant may have avoided that expense.) That required some pounding to get the proper alignment. One other issue is the lack of hydraulic oil. Would have been nice to know that ahead of time. There was no mention of the oil anywhere in the less-than-adequate instructions. Four stars is probably generous, but once the repairs were made, I have a very good lift for the price.

Used this for a 200 pound basement air unit into a motorhome. Worked great. Got it for my heating and air man. He’s going to use it for new furnace installs.

Do not buy this item - just don't. I ordered 6 of these things to use as the bases for a large adjustable table in my shop. I opened the first one and assembled (as per other reviews, there are absolutely no instructions, just an exploded diagram of parts listing what they are - useless). Anyway, it did not work. It did not have any jack fluid in it, so according to other reviews, adding some hydraulic fluid to the bottle jack seemed to solve the problem. I did that. Cost me an extra $30. It still did not work - at all - not even a little bit. Fine, maybe it's a defective one...next one - open the box to assemble - all sorts of missing parts and parts falling off it, couldn't get it together to try if I wanted to, but also obviously without any fluid as well. I'm way too frustrated to open box 3, 4, 5, or 6. Clearly these things are not reliable and basically junk. So, fine, I'll return them. These aren't returnable through Amazon or through Prime! You will get an address label from the seller, but shipping costs are on you. Well, let me tell you... for a box that big that weighs 73 lbs, it costs just as much to ship it back as the item cost in the first place, and what's the point of that? It returns to California and I'm only 2 states away and it's still not worth it. So, now I'm stuck with $1000 of junk lifts. Learn from me. Simply don't buy this item.

This jack worked great for me replacing my front fork seals. It is light weight and easy to use. My bike weighs 850lbs (Harley-Davidson Dyna Fat Bob) so a little tough raising with the tool provided, but I didn't want to use an impact and raise the bike too quickly. The saddles were too tall to get under my frame so I had to just raise without...I do wish there was a non-skid surface as my bike slipped a little. I only raised high enough to get my front tire of the ground and felt the bike was stable enough. I did use caution when using force. Overall the best lift I saw for the price. I'm happy with my purchase.

Much sturdier than the cheap scissor jack I was using under my bikes.I have one of the Harbor Freight lift tables, and having a bike up on it with just a scissor jack could be a bit spooky, even with it strapped down. With this jack, the bike will actually stay upright on it's own. (though I wouldn't want to raise it up without strapping it as well) It also gives better/safer ways to lift because of the adjustable pads. I can get on the frame rails instead of under the engine. I was always nervous about lifting by the engine cases fearing it might cave in some day.I also like the wings on the sides. They offer even more stability, and would allow me to bolt it to the table should I be so inclined. The build seems sturdy. The crank might be a bit short for good leverage on a really heavy bike, but it worked ok for my KLR650. I'm pretty happy overall.
