While motivated by safety and ease of climbing the five steps of our historical society museum, we were more than impressed with the quality, strength and architectural contribution of this this product. In addition, hardware package was above and beyond including the #10 masonry bit needed for this 45 minute project.

I needed to replace an old aluminum railing on the porch steps that was broken and unsteady. I could not find anything that was the same profile as that old railing, but this seemed like it would span the area well. When in arrived, I was impressed with how heavy and sturdy it seemed.Firstly, I was installing into old cement steps with pebbles in its aggregate. A masonry drill bit was included, but its 10mm square haft was too large for my drill, so I had to purchase a bit that would fit my drill. Then I discovered that my drill was not up to the task, so I had to purchase a hammer drill. Getting the holes drilled in exactly the right spot was challenging. Then I discovered that the bolts would not reliably set and fasten. When I was finally able the get everything tightened to the furthest extent possible, it still wobbles - not so much that it's going to fall over, but you can feel it move when you grasp it, which does not inspire confidence. My advice: this is probably fine if you are installing it on perfectly square and level new construction, or on wood. But be advised that if you need to install this on concrete you will need a hammer drill and it will be frustrating.

Bought 3 of them to put on steps going from house into game room.. they were easy to install. They're beautiful and sturdy! Have no loops or place where a piece of clothing could hook on. Very happy with them. Very happy.. would highly recommend

We need to add a step from the porch to the house. Once installed is was apparent that my handicapped husband would need a railing. Saw this and decided to give it a.try. My son glued and screwed the post into place. It is sturdy, and easy to hold onto. He can now traverse this one step safely.

My neighbor's all bought railings at the same time so we could get a deal from a person installing them. He told me out of everyone he put in ,mine was the most sturdy. It looks great, and it really is the sturdiest one on the block! My daughter uses crutches and I always worried about her stepping up the step, we needed something that she could put weight on lifting herself up on the step, this works wonderfully. Looks great too! The only negative thing about it is the screws started to rust.

Pretty nice handrail. I mounted mine to concrete and it does not move. I would recommend using red thread-locker so the top rail does not move accidentally on you. That's where the 2 parts connect

Nicely made, came with good hardware. As there is only one mounting bracket, unlike with a "normal" railing, which would have two or more, I spread construction adhesive underneath after pressure washing the concrete. I consider it added insurance long-term. I am not sure it needed it as it is very strong with just the anchors/bolts.

This rail is perfect for my new wooden steps on my back porch It only took about 30 minutes to install, but one big thing to note is that the drill bit size the instructions state to use is too big! I had to go down 2 sizes, otherwise the screws were not tight enough and the rail was wobbly. Once I determined the correct bit size, it went up easily and is very sturdy.
