How to test
The sensor can be tested by using a multimeter. As temperature rises, the resistance measurement also rises. Oven temperature problems can be caused by other things, but this is one of the more common causes.
Repair Tip: The oven sensor varies its resistance to electrical current as the temperature varies. If the oven doesn't bake evenly, the oven sensor resistance might be incorrect.
For small variations, you may be able to re-calibrate the resistance with the control board. Check the owners manual for directions on how to do this on your model.
Detailed installation steps
Replacement of a faulty oven temperature sensor is very straightforward: unplug the range; remove the screws holding the rear upper panel on the range with a philips (or is it Phillips?) screwdriver; carefully pull panel down and set aside. Locate the temperature sensor at the upper right. Disconnect the sensor from the stove wiring at the plastic junction. Using the same screwdriver, remove the screw holding the temperature sensor in place, and slide the sensor out. Slide the new sensor in place, secure the screws, and reconnect to the range wiring. Slide the back panel in place and secure with the screws. Reconnect your range. Easy as pie.

My oven was definitely baking at a much higher temp and threw an error code, so when I googled it gave me a few options to resolve, one of which was to turn off the breaker to reset. That did not work so I ordered this $12 part in hopes that it was just the sensor. We watched a you tube video on how to install and in a matter of minutes my oven is working properly again. The oven is nearly 10 yrs old so we didnβt want to invest too much, and this was the perfect solution. Not sure how long it will last but if it buys us another year Iβll be happy.

But wasn't plug and play. Wouldn't fit in the same hole on the oven. Had to use a punch to open up. Noticed new part had no part number markings. That's what I used to find this part so the next guy may have hell replacing... But it works...
