Have needed a buffer for a long time. This fits on my power drill, so I didn't need to buy another power tool to store. Have used it a lot and am still on the first buffer pad...

One should seal granite every year. Then clean with water daily. Polish depending on need, every week or two. These pads makes fast work on any polishing or sealer. Just don't over due the spin, speed or pressure.

The pads are made of some straight synthetic fiber (that melts I flame) and not curly wool. I bought this for shoe polishing with hand drill. It seems to work just OK. But would wool work better for shoes? I'm no polishing expert so check your polishing application for suitability. The quantity of pads and the tool seemed a reasonable value for the money.

Yes, this review is about the wool pads...I applied one coat of Resolene over two coats of Fiebing's Blue Pro Dye on my otherwise faded blue Doc Martens. The blue color is awesome, by the way, and the oil likely helps with penetration. The leather remained flexible. It was a slightly darker blue than expected with a hint of purple (after the second dye coat), but still awesome. After one coat of Resolene it was essentially black (no purple) unless in direct sunlight when the blue becomes visible. The deeply worn toe portions still appear black. I love it all the same! Water beads right off, but I haven't yet worn them in the rain. Highly recommended.Note that Resolene tends to darken the color, so start lighter if that's important to you. I applied the Resolene with 3" round wool (or wool-like) pads wiping in all directions. I had no issues with bubbles and any foam that formed in the seams disappeared on its own. I used 100% Resolene without any water dilution. As such, I recommend these pads.
