Could be a 5 star: Nice looking extension. The part holding the Forstner bit shank is 0.750 OD. This is fine for the 3/4 holes I had to drill in my workbench vise jaw. The original bit length is too short so I need an extension. The problem is that the 2 set screws protrude so this will only work with larger than 3/4 dia bits. I'm off to buy shorter set screws that will sit flush in the extension. The set screws are 1/4 - 20, which is a bit coarse, finer thread would have been better. The other problem is that the hole that holds the Forstner bit shank is slightly oversized. The bit is not centered in the holder. Not by a lot, but it may make starting precise holes harder. I start the holes with just the bit. Once the hole is started, I add the extension. It won't "drift" due to the design of the Forstner bits.

Ordered the 4 inch extension to bore holes in wooden peppermills I was turning on my wood lathe for Christmas gifts. Works great and was exactly what I was looking for. Great quality and I highly recommend!
