Received as promised. Very easy to set up. I like the fact that it gives you different tv models instructions on how to set up. I like the fact about being able to set up different voice levels. I tried them all and you can hear the difference. I also like the size even though it is small it gives great sound.

This sound bar is compact in size and well designed. I purchased this item to help with my hearing loss. Both the internal TV speaker and even exterior sound systems can make understanding voices very difficult when you have hearing loss because the high frequency consonants get lost in the boominess or boxiness of the lower frequencies. So all you hear are a deep toned blur of vowels and it's impossible to follow dialog. This sound bar is definitely helpful in this regard. It has a range of settings which are accessed through the remote and which can be selected quickly. If you forget where you are there is an LED readout on the soundbar itself, and there is a button on the remote to "reset" the soundbar to a medium range. The settings, even at the lowest range, help emphasize consonants in speech, basically by enhancing higher frequencies and making the sound more "tinny" as you increase the range. To be clear, the point of this soundbar is not audiophile quality with flat frequency response, but the ability to enhance the frequencies for speech and dialog. Still, with the soundbar at it's most aggressive setting my wife with her good hearing found the sound quality to be perfectly acceptable and still better than the internal TV speaker. People with normal hearing will find this soundbar to be a modest upgrade over internal TV speakers and people with hearing loss will likely find that they can finally understand dialog.Setup is simple, although the elderly may need some help. I used the optical cable, which was provided, and an 1/8" jack cable is also provided. I turned off the internal speaker on the TV and then adjusted the volume and quality of the sound using the remote. You'll need two AAA batteries for the remote but the sound bar plugs into household current. You'll adjust sound with the soundbar remote, and the TV remote will no longer work for sound.Given the price, this is a no-brainer update for anybody with hearing loss and those in the same household with normal hearing will also get a slight upgrade from an internal TV speaker. You will also find that the overall volume can now be lower since you can understand the dialog without blasting the volume level.

Four stars for functionality and looks. Three stars for sound quality.I mostly used the Bluetooth connectivity for testing and found that worked just fine. One has to turn the device on and then connect to it. There is no standby mode that brings it on by Bluetooth. I did not try the optical (cable included) or AUX (M-M cable included) in. It is easy to switch to these inputs with the remote or the side buttons. The USB port on this is for software updates or playing MP3s from a thumb drive - it is not a D/A connection for a computer. The sound on this is ok and loud enough for most purposes, but the bass is expectedly poor due to the small drivers. I listened to a couple podcasts on it and even playing with the different sound modes it did not sound as good as my larger Bluetooth speakers. Acceptable, but not great. Music was about the same.It also included a mounting template and a couple screws for easily putting it on a wall. The instructions are very clear and an additional booklet provides some tutorials for adding the device to one's TV through their specific menu. The remote also works fine and while on Bluetooth then track change and pause buttons work too.

This soundbar arrives in a nice brown box that says "upgrade your home theater". I bold statement. Inside the first flap are some starting instructions and a UR code that all look very nice. Open to the interior and you are greeted with a nice looking soundbar, that is well packaged. It looks like a premium product. Below it you will find some nice instructions. Inside a small box are the AC adapter, remote and cables. The AC adapter should be the first hint at what is to come, as it is very small and cannot deliver much current.I powered it up and after finding some AAA batteries, as it does not include any, I turned it on. It defaulted to bluetooth, so I figured I'd just start there. I paired my phone with it, which was quick and easy and started to play some music. This is where things start to go downhill. It doesn't sound very good. It lacked both high and low end. I messed with the settings, and using the "voice" +/- on the remote you can change the tonal balance, which brings out the high frequencies, but at the expense of everything else. I returned the "voice" setting to "U 0" on the display which seems to be the fullest sound setting. I tried "movie" mode and it started to distort when the bass hit. This was at mid volume.Honestly, looking at it. I have to wonder if I got a faulty unit. It looks like it would be a product that would compete with Sonos, but performs only slightly better than a budget TVs built in speakers. It has no bass and sounds like it is straining to deliver even midrange at a moderate volume level.YMMV and I hope it is for the better.
