I purchased this system on speculation. When I received it and connected everything,I realize that I had to tweak down all of the equalization. After doing so I was nothing short of amazed. So I went to several audio stores and listen to similar systems, but lacking the extra features Such as the subwoofer with wireless connection and two satellite rear speakers that connect to the subwoofer was a game changer,. So once I tweaked everything the sound was incredible.So in listening to the higher end, more costly sound systems I realized that this system could match or even sound better than the ones that I listen to.I won’t mention any brand names, but there were several. So in my thinking of looking for something with a little more, I found that all of them didn’t have anymore and some had less. The sound is amazing through DVDs that I watched and listen to of course because it’s listening pleasure. But the music also is incredible. The sound that it delivers is nothing short of incredible. This system is actually replacing my old Bose system, and it beats that system hands down. If you are thinking of replacing your home theater system/music, listening pleasure this system will make you very happy. Just make sure that you go through all the tweaking the iPhone app is a plus and offers a great deal of EQ customization, but also on the remote you can tweak down the sub, the mid and the treble. If you use the remote and put everything at five, you will find that you will be extremely satisfied so if you’re thinking of replacing your system, this is a good choice and I have decided to keep this one because it’s a keeper!

I have not really owned a true surround sound system so my knowledge is based on the limited comparisons to others. Right out of the box, it is packaged well and there was no damage to any of the components. It comes with everything you need and brackets to hang the 4 surround speakers. It was pretty easy to set up. The wires are plenty long enough on the 4 surround speakers to install them where you need to. When I first got it set up, I was not getting any sound but I restarted the system as well as my TV and that seemed to fix it. There is about a 3 second delay for the sound to start anytime you turn on the TV or start playing something. It does sync up so that you can use your TV controller, or in my case, my Firestick remote. There is an app that you can download to control the settings and such. The system sounds good. I do not have the 4 surround speakers spread out like they should be so I know that has some effect on how it sounds. Being that I have not really compared other systems, I can't give a good review on if it is worth the price, however, in my opinion, it's a little overpriced. My boyfriend has a surround system which sounds really good and much better than this one but that is higher quality system. I am happy with this one for now. One day I will get a better one, but it is doing the job for now. The biggest thing to consider is how much money you are wanting to spend (and if the price of this one is comparable to others) and what kind of quality you are looking for. My main thing was to have something more than just a sound bar, which this one fulfills that need. It does get pretty loud that's for sure. I just think it lacks a little in the bass department.

Tried the optical cable first, connecting to an older TV. The sound seemed very flat, even after tweaking EQ presets and levels. Then connected via HDMI (eARC) to a modern receiver. It sounded MUCH better.Two major problems that could not be resolved with troubleshooting/support/research:- Voices sounded like they were broadcast from inside a tunnel/tube. Played around with all settings and presets. Could not fix it.- The wireless subwoofer connected successfully, but would cut in and out. Tried positioning the subwoofer in various locations around the room. No change at all. It would work for approximately 3-5 seconds then not work for 3-5 seconds. It did that repeatedly. Seems like it was a wireless signal streaming/buffering issue maybe?Returned it, same day.
