Great antenna and least inconspicuous for mobile vehicle use, also fully compatible with my intercept and descramble gear which I wasn’t sure how would work on cell phones, text intercepts and such but so far working great in all regards with mobile equipment, highly recommend.

Worthless. Reception is nonexistent. Don't wast you money or time. I purchased mine in January, but since the weather was very cold, I didn't have an opportunity to test it out in my car until today. Compared it with my current antenna, and found that I got no signal. Now I can not return it.

I was using the antenna that came with my BC75XLT scanner, and only picked up limited ranged frequencies. I tried a crappy telescopic antenna to improve range. THIS antenna pulls in plenty of frequencies, way better range, and even the clarity is better.

This works, although for me, using my scanner inside a front facing room of my 2 story house -- the result was really not that different from the scanners default, metal telescoping antenna. This might be better in other situations..My indoor reception really improved by putting up a small in-door friendly $80 discone antenna. That makes a very noticeable difference over the default telescoping antenna. The discone makes this antenna obsolete..so I guess I'll keep this around as an extra antenna, but really, I wish I would have been smart enough to purchase the discone first without wasting the $$ on this antenna... perhaps I'll give it away at next club meeting... your milege may vary.

I have been using a mag mount antenna on my SUV for my Home Patrol II scanner. I HATE mag mounts and for a variety of reasons other mounts were not feasible. Decided to try this antenna and have been pleased with the results. I did an A/B test between it and the mag mount before I removed the mag mount from the vehicle and could not tell any difference in received signal strength between the two when listening to the Redmond (OR) airport tower frequency or the NWS signal from Bend OR. Not bad as both are close to 30 miles away. Interestingly with the mag mount I was never able to hear 800 MhZ public safety transmissions from Bend and I am able to with this antenna. Plus since the antenna is virtually invisible from outside my vehicle it does not alert potential thieves to the presence of radio equipment in the vehicle. Surprised and pleased at the performance.

I bought this antenna to use with my Whistler TRX-2 desktop/mobile scanner in my truck. Sticks right to inside glass on windshield and I probably couldn't get it off if I tried - it's very secure. Reception is amazing, I didn't think you could pick up frequencies as low as 25MHz with such an insanely small antenna. I monitor everything listed in the state of Delaware on my TRX-2 in all 3 counties and it picks up everything very well. I can hear lower-end CB radio frequencies just as well as higher-end frequencies in the 800 and 900MHz ranges. It picks up ham bands 146MHz and 440MHz really well.I read a user review that talked about how some vehicle windshields have metal-material at the top of the windshield, you know those tinted/metallic looking areas by the head visor... he said to make sure your vehicle windshield doesn't contain any metal materials as that will drastically reduce your reception if you mount this antenna there. I found that very helpful and thought I'd pass it along. Don't blame the antenna unless you first make sure there isn't another problem!Another note, the length of the cord is okay, but I can see where some people would need it to be a little longer if you're going to professionally hide the cable under the plastic/vinyl dashboards etc. so please do a rough draft installation before you remove the adhesive tape, to make sure the cord is long enough for you!
