I sent it back. Was not the right one for my fridge. It wasn't very clear in the fitment/description. I'm sure it works fine in the right fridge

using YouTube videos my wife and I were able to replace this in our KitchenAide refridgerator. However, one connection was incompatible and I had to take one wiring off the one we replaced to make the connection. Has worked well now for several months.

This replacement part was a Whirlpool part to our surprise! It was very easy to install and fixed our ice maker that was broken. No need for a service call.

Loved the lightning fast shipping! You need a you-tube repair tutorial to remove and install, but with that, it’s an easy swap. Be patient. It takes 24-48 hours to start making ice. Good value as it’s a lot less than calling in a repairman or a new refrigerator.

I don't normally leave reviews, but I want to save you a return or headache. Take a hard look at the picture and take a hard look at your ice maker. I have the WRF757SDEH01 refrigerator. My refrigerator came with an ice maker that has a hole for a black plug that plugs directly into the motor. On the other end of the ice maker is a white wire with a connector. This ice maker on DOES NOT HAVE SAID CONNECTOR AT THE END OF THE WHITE WIRE. The white wire actually joins the black plug as you see in the picture, and there's no easy way to connect it to the other end. What I ended up doing was pulling the white wire out of that black plug and discarded the black plug, since you don't need it. I cut off the old white wire and connector from the old ice machine and spliced it to the new one with electrical tape. I would recommend tape as I am not sure if polarity matters, as I could not tell which side was which - but I seemed to get it right the first time. Just be prepared to get it wrong and this of course voids the warranty and any return policy. This was the only item in stock / the only one I could find, so I bit the bullet and everything turned out fine.

First of all, the ice maker arrived banging around in a box. There was absolutely no packing at all, no paperwork, nothing (see pic). So, I guess it’s no wonder that it was defective. Installation is as easy as eating lettuce, there are several YouTube videos that’ll walk you they it. Upon finishing installation, it immediately failed the diagnostic...got a “E2” code, motor lost position. Anyway, it‘ll Bree promptly returned.

Not so easy to install, but if you find the right YouTube video you can do it. No special tools necessary. It just takes so many steps just to get to the ice maker. Once you get there it's drop it in, plug in the wires (and the water hose a few steps later). It just feels so good to swap in a new part and not pay for the service call visit. Oh and, the part works, it was a perfect fit/replacement. And my wife stopped complaining about no ice.
