The Ice Maker Thermistor monitors the temperature inside the appliance and sends the reading to the electronic control board. If your ice maker is making too much ice and causing the bin to overflow, replacing this part may alleviate this issue. Easy to install with basic hand tools like a multi-screwdriver, some disassembly of the ice maker, and novice repair experience. You must unplug the ice maker or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part.

Our ice maker was over producing ice. Replaced the thermostat with this one and it’s back to normal.
