Got it to replace a 27 inch wheel on an old steel frame bike. There was some grease on the bearing, but just to be safe I put a little bit more. After installing a rim strip it was good to go. I've gotten a few hundred miles out of it at this point with not a single issue. It's cheap, but it gets the job done.Edit: Decrease to 4 stars due to some issues I was having. For a bit the cones had a tendency to come loose and I had to fiddle with it a few times to stop that from happening. Also, the wheel quickly became out of true and needs adjustment every so often. Still a good value, but definitely know that some maintenance will be needed.

Cheap wheel but was true out of box, as others have said grease bearings there is not much on them.

Nice wheel. It was true out of the box. I used this to replace a 27x1 1/4 rear wheel on an eighties steel road bike with 3 broken spokes and a hub on its last legs. Slapped on a 5-speed freewheel, rim tape, schrader tube, and tire and off I went. I only had to adjust the brake reach a millimeter or two. The internal rim diameter is 16.5mm so you can run 700x28-38 tires. I'm running 700x32 Schwalbe Marathons. The outer locknut diameter of the hub is 126mm, which is slightly larger than my frame spacing, but it slid right in without any fuss. Steel is real.

4 stars because you get what you pay for, but YOU MUST ADD GREASE AND RE-TIGHTEN BEFORE USE!They're cheap, not too heavy, they're true and round, but as other people have mentioned there's little to no grease on the bearings and the cones are screwed in frighteningly tight. If you buy these, and I'm not exaggerating, you must open up the hub, add grease to the bearings, and re-tighten it all. Even if you didn't add grease these things come wound so tight it's like the hub is indexed. Other than that... they're fine and since I knew what I was getting into I think they're a good purchase, but they require extra work to work properly.
