Assembly is easy enough if you look closely at the illustrations. Seems reasonably well made, though it's hardly a precision instrument. In actual use on older 700c wheels, two gripes with the design:1. The QR can't actually grip since the steel here is thinner than real dropouts. Not a big deal, but you will want to make sure it doesn't move when spinning the wheel.2. Front wheels fit fine. But on a rear wheel with 130mm dropouts, the pins aren't long enough to reach the rim. Kind of a big deal, so maybe I'll try the pencil suggestion. Or maybe I'm doing something wrong and will hope for an explanation. At any rate, it's not addressed in the instructions. All in all, I may well return this and spend more for a better stand. Or maybe I'll live with these strange flaws.

The package was late arriving, so USPS got a 1 star, but once it arrived it was exactly what I had expected. The instruction sheet is printed in 3 languages with plenty of pictures to help with the assembly.Everything went together as expected, no problem at all with the assembly. When I read the reviews I noted a couple that didn’t make sense at the time. The first was the one with the wrong parts sent. The arms are different, the one with two holes have smaller holes then the one with three holes. That’s why the user couldn’t assemble it. I suspect a call to the support line or an email would have resolved that issue quickly enough. The other was the use of pencils to reach narrow rims. The arm with 3 holes can be moved over toward the center slot in the base and would pretty much be able to reach any point. Even a rear wheel could be trued using the brake adjusting arm. The pins fit in the holder and could then be positioned to check the trueness of the cassette side. I maybe missing something but the stand seems to me to work fine without any tricks.Thru axil wheels can be trued using an adapter easily found on Amazon as well.

I was skeptical based on other reviews expecting issues fitting my 700c wheels. I’m glad to say that I didn’t have any problems. Didn’t have to use pencils to extend the “fingers” or use any nuts to make my quick release work. Everything fits perfectly, stand is very stable, I was able to fit my wheel with its quick release and make it true. See pictures. It is a great stand for the money, especially when there is a coupon. Highly recommend.

The stand is nice and solid, but there are a few issues.1) the metal bracket that holds the wheel hub is not thick enough to engage the quick release. I fixed this by removing the skewer on my wheel and putting a large bolt on both sides of the hub. This adds the necessary thickness so the wheel can be snugly attached to the stand.2) the pins used to gauge the rim deformations are not quite long enough for road bike wheels and the ends are too thick to easily see if the wheel is out of round. The solution here was to replace the pins with a set of pencils. With these minor modifications, I found the stand to be very useful and definitely worth the money. It's not perfect, but certainly a huge step up from truing wheels on the bike using the brake pads.

Look carefully at what was sent and what the instructions have for 01 and 02 parts. Might have been a good stand but I guess I will never know.
