Maybe my fault for not investigating it far enough but not welded together and it leaks like crazy through side of rim, don’t think I am going to be able to get it to seal for tubeless. disappointed.UPDATE: I left the Stans in overnight with that side of the rim down annd it sealed.I have ridden gravel about 30 miles since with no issue so maybe I spoke to soon. Going to keep riding and hoping for the best. That said……..I would not buy this wheel again planning to use it tubeless.

Holding up better then expected, have taken it out on some green and blue trails and rim still true. Once you apply rim tap your good to go with installation. I'm running 29x2.3 no problem wouldn't go over a 2.4 tire.

Great value. The wheel is light weight & sturdy. Made in USA. Great quality at a good price. This was purchased to replace a bent front wheel on a cheaper bike. Great fit, even came with a quick release axle. Standard 6-bolt brake rotor mount.

I've been out of mtb'g for at least 15 years. Broke my old Gary Fischer 26" a few years ago. My wife rides single track with a big group, so I finally decided to get a new bike and join them. I'm 6'7 and 230 lbs. so I needed an XL or XXL frame. I found a used Trek Marlin 6 XL (23") 29'r. Upgraded the forks to RockShox Judys, 2.3 tires, new 8-speed Cassette with a low 50 tooth and a dropper post. The bike came with Bontrager AT-550 (single wall) rims and non-sealed bearing hubs. I bent the front rim going off a jump. The stock rims were not made for hard single tracking. These new Wheel Master double wall rims are a lot stronger and should be able to take more of a beating. Time will tell. The hubs are low-end Non-seal bearing, similar to the stoke Trek hubs. Sealed bearing hubs are a big jump in cost. Not worth it on this bike. The last picture with both rims shows the single-wall construction of the stock Bontrager rim vs. the new double-wall construction on the Wheel Master. I'm buying the matching rear wheel now that I've seen the quality first hand.
