If you have a typewriter, then I suggest getting this. It helps the typewriter stop sliding around as you type. Our desk is to slick, so the typewriter use to slowly get further and further from me, but with this the problem is solved!

This didn't work out. The thick pile on the rug-like mat interfere with the keys. I tried it with a couple of different typewriters, and had the same problem.

Perfect sized mat for my vintage manual portable typewriter. It's sturdy and heavy, with the rubberized gripping surface (underside) performing flawlessly - the typewriter does not move at all when using this pad. The felt on the top side quiets the noise from the typewriter. I'll likely order a couple more, as I have several typewriters. The price is comparable to other brands I have seen, though it seems all of these pads should cost about 15% less. Overall, five star - good product.

There isn't much to say. The non skid mat works well. It keeps my small type writer in place on my wood desk. It is true to the advertised size and color. Compared to other typewriter mats, this one is probably the best value.

My typewriter gang recommend ded a pad to go underneath the machine for stability and sound absorption. This fits the bill.

I tried this for my Hermes 3000, and I can't really see the mat under it. It keeps it from sliding around, and I can still tuck paper under the typewriter pretty easily. Does exactly what it says without being an eyesore. I also tried it on an Oliver 9 - and it sticks out the sides but otherwise works. It's also wider than my skyriter, but somehow it's unobtrusive to the point that I don't mind.TL;DR - It's nice. Just measure your typewriter to make sure it fits under it completely if you are averse to an eyesore. I ordered a second one. Any complaints are purely aesthetic.
