I would have preferred it to be more square, similar to a photo album page. I'll use this product as a desk and mouse pad instead.

I fold mine to put it away. The neoprene it is made from keeps it from creasing. But then I don’t put anything heavy on top of it when stored. You could alternately roll it up like a yoga mat. In use it sits perfectly flat and works great for the purpose it was made for. It will also contour itself if you put a book or two under one end to prop up photo frames against.I also use it when I’m scanning and depositing checks into my bank account : -)
