We installed them fairly easy, snapped together nicely. Used a hacksaw to cut to length putting painters tape where the cut will be to avoid splintering. Worked well. Fit nice, happy with purchase.

They look great they go together great. Had to cut 1 inch off the top with a small cut off wheel worked great I put two together At a time and then sandwich the post. This seem to work best was very happy with the result. My wife who was skeptical is very happy with the result would definitely buy again.

We’re building a screened porch on the back of our home. We wanted to cover the 6x6 posts for a nice aesthetic and protect them from weather. I struggled to find anything that wasn’t a post sleeve AND was 6x6. These wraps fit perfectly around the posts. They assemble in no time at all. Didn’t even need the mallet. As you can see in one photo, we purchased $1,000 in PVC boards thinking these wouldn’t work and we’d nail and caulk PVC boards on the posts. We’ll be returning them to Menards. Thank you Weatherables for making post wraps for people that are not able to think far enough ahead for a post sleeve!

I purchased these for my 6x6 post. Really 5 1/2 × 5 1/2. This cut to fit your height. I measured my post and cut them the length. These very easily snap together. I notice when snapping together by hand, the post jacket was a bit lose. Then it came to me to try using a rubber mallet to help make sure the jackets were snug. It worked great. With that being said, still be careful. You do not want to bust the post jacket. Mine went on great and I love how my porch columns now have a fresh look.

I don't know yet. They have not been installed. I want to paint the trip around them before installing them.

I would definitely recommend this product. It is light weight, easy to cut and easy to install. I installed 5ea 6x6 post wraps by myself. I’m 57y/o, 5”2’. I measured twice, cut once. I wrapped 2 pieces on the post by making sure they were close to snap together, then hit it with the white mallet to avoid scuff marks, it snapped together quickly, then added the last two pieces one at a time. I hit it with the mallet all the way down the seam, making sure it snapped together. They are a bit pricey and scuff easily. I plan to try to remove the scuff marks. The white mallet did not leave any marks on the post.

The wrap is well made, durable, and looks great but do not be mislead by "it just snaps together." It isn't easy to install without a rubber mallet. If you do not have one, make a trip to your local home improvement store and buy one because without it you'll be forever trying to put this thing together. You should tape the rubber end of the mallet with masking tape to avoid scarring the wrap with black marks. Other than the installation part, I am well pleased with the way it turned out. I also reviewed the post skirt that was installed with this product.
