Have a new version of a Whirlpool washer! With that being said, many parts are still plastic. I accidentally broke the last lid latch, actual part from whirlpool was 4 times this price! This fit great. Bought extra just in case....

I purchased three of these in the last few months they go on my Maytag, smart top load washer of the two I just purchased one lasted less than a month and snapped in two. They're very inexpensive, so it's not worth my efforts to try to return them. I just wish the manufacturer would make the strike out of metal.
