If you do scraping of any kind, get serious, and replace those rusty, worn out blades on your scraper with a supply of new, sharp blades that are made for your quality scraper. You don't shave with a worn out razor blade. Then stop trying to extend the life of a rusty, ragged scraper blade. Use blades that are specifically manufactured for the scraper you bought. They truly make a difference. And the price is minimal.

Gets dull very quickly when used to scrape floor. Make sure you buy the bigger pack as it works out cheaper per unit.If it was priced any higher, it would only get a 2-3 stars review as it starts to get expensive at such a fast replacement rate.

i am using this blade to test optics - what you might say. its the old Knife Edge Trick. if you place a Knife Edge (the KE in the trade) over a small light source and adjust the optical surface under test to reflect back above the source and view the reflection at the KE you will see the 1st derivative of the optical surface and from that you can determine if the optical surface is smooth and can then employee the Focault optical test invented in 1858.so i needed a long KE and these Blade Scraper's worked great for that purpose - they do have to be honed just like you use to hone shaving blades.using this simple blade and some experience can test an optical surface to a tenth of a wave of light. now you know how valuable a KE is.

The ones you get at the store for the plastic generic ones are thinner and protrude too far from the tool. These are much sturdier and less likely to break, plus the tool itself doesn't have issues with the blade slipping or pushing out. Very sturdy. Also love the dispenser/holder which is more secure than the cardboard card pocket alone and ensures that I will find them sharp and protected when I need them. Best tool for scraping anything!I am in the process of stripping the cracking stucco and multiple layers of age-old paint on an older house for a proper repaint, and after a couple of days, I stopped using the other scrapers with the square blades, and all of the cheapo generic ones with the plastic push clip. I only worry about whether I have my warner big blade scrapers and the carbide ones now. I don't bother with the rest at all.
