Perfect fit, exact match, works fine, but don't expect this to be the last time you buy it. This icemaker is designed by Whirlpool to fail after about 1000 duty cycles, with no serviceable parts, other than to keep changing out for a new unit. Just keep in mind that patience is a virtue. Reset fridge after install by cutting power for 60 seconds. The icemaker will not begin to start its first ice cycle for 3-4 hours after install.

My ice maker stopped working so I figured I get a new one. That was not the problem it was the cables frayed at the bottom due to a bad Whirlpool design. However the original ice maker broke during troubleshooting, so the one I bought came in handy. This one is made of metal instead of plastic and a lot sturdier. Works well and love the sound it makes when it dumps ice. It lets me know that the repair job I did on the frayed wires still works. Avoid these Whirlpool refrigerators with the wire harness at the bottom. The harness breaks over time as you use the freezer door and you can’t buy a new harness, you buy a new door for $800

This is the third replacement for my Whirlpool refrigerator. It's working good after installation with no problems, just hope it will last longer than the last one.

Looks exactly the same as the original, fits the same And works fine. But it does not make ice as fast as the original used to, Barely keeps up.
