The right part needed to make our washer functional again! Well made, not flimsy. Need to be careful when taking apart the door with the glass dome inside. You don't want to have order MORE parts to replace.

Used on my Maytag XL washer in August 2022 and forgot to write a review. Fast forward to February 2024 and I had to buy one for my Maytag XL dryer. Both hinges work better than the originals that came from the manufacturers. The doors on both now swing without any drag at all. Very easy to put in by myself. Very sturdy- no issues since 2022 and doors are still swinging freely. LOVE the doors on this washer/dryer now. They used to be so hard to close and scraped the paint on the edges.

The part seemed good, but once we removed the old hinge & put this part in, the screws wouldn’t fit. Took the edge screws out again to see why & realized this new part doesn’t have holes big enough for the screws. Frustrating. Returning.

Part fits good. Part cap with new plastic caps too. It’s easy do it yourself. Just need to unscrew about 20 star screws to replace. The metal has a different finish than the oem part so not sure about the durability, only time will tell. Good price.

Fitment was good. I ordered two because my Maytag washer and dryer use the same part number. Look at your particular model of washer and dryer up first because they could be different. They come with W10208398 Washer Dryer Door Hinge Pin Cap (bushings). To buy that part they come in sets of two (as far I could find ) and there are four needed for each hinge and the cheapest I could find cost almost the same as the hinge. They are a wear item the same as the hinge and you don’t want to take everything apart and find out the bushings need replacing too. In the description of the W10208415 door hinge from this particular company it doesn’t mention that they are included (Nice) so you don’t have to buy them separately if you order from this company. Maybe other companies include them also you’ll have to do some research to find out. It is an easy install just go look on You Tube and there are videos on how to do it. They seem durable if they fail I’ll do an update.

We have a bad habit of draping clothes over the open dryer door as they are being pulled out which does put extra stress on the hinge. The original got worn so I bought a new OEM replacement at near $100 which lasted a couple years and also failed. This one was a fraction of the cost and restored the door to where it should be. If we can get ourselves to stop putting weight on the door these will last longer but if I have to replace these every couple years at this price, I'll stop complaining. OEM doesnt sell just this part so this is a nice lower cost option. Happy wife, happy life.

This was an exact fit for my old Whirlpool Duet. It IS made of thinner cast. It weighs less than the original one I took off. But its function is the exact same. I doubt it will last the same 15+ years the original did. But I doubt the rest of the machine will too! As long as I can keep getting parts for it. I'll keep running it.I had a bad threaded hole on my washer. I had to drill out the bottom hinge hole and the hole in the machine itself and use a machine bolt to fasten the hinge on.

My cousin is brilliant, and can fix anything. He fixed my washer door with this hinge, but he needed to thread the screws, and had to buy a kit to do this (not expensive). I would not have known to do this. If you’re a handy person, this is a good product. If you’re an amateur: good luck!
