This installs into the washing machine but the magnet inside the device is not as powerful as the OEM part. As a result, the magnet does not hold the door ajar the way the OEM part did. When you have the original part and this part in your hand, this part is noticeably lighter.

It was basically the same. Only noticeable difference was the shape of the spring. Original was cylindrical, while replacement was more conical. It worked. Would buy againβ¦.is the vote so far.

Product looks and fits the same as the OEM part but does not nearly functions as well. The issue is the magnet is not strong enough for it to catch when the washer does closes. You have to play with different methods of closing for the magnet to catch the inside of the door for it to stay. Even when does catch it, the slightest touch will open the door. It gets 2 stars because it does fit, but other than that I will try another manufacturer.
