After recent major health problems and having 7 new meds, half of which caused major weight gain, I needed something to get me moving. I gained 65 lbs in 5 months and have to be on these meds for at least a year. My specialist suggested yoga, but I'm not s fan. I thought it was a great idea to use ballet as my go-to exercise. The Dr agreed using the term "unique". Lol I took ballet as a kid for 7 years ago and I still know the basics. YouTube helped refresh my memory, too.The Barre was easy to put together and the height of the bars are easily adjustable. For an "average person" or child, the sturdiness would be fine. For a bigger person (well over 200 lbs), it's fine for basic ballet movements and positions. But anything more, you may feel a little give. For stability, this where it's really lacking. The Barre moves on my hardwood floors too easily. I can see how trying to do a simple stretch with ankle on the top barre could make it move and you'd inadvertently end up in an unwanted split with your tush on the floor. Again, an average person or child may be fine, but us rounder girls need to be aware. I think I'll have my hubs McGyver something for me.All in all, what I wanted, decent quality and would buy again!

These are ok, but not as sturdy or as heavy as I hoped. Can easily fit 2 teenage dancers on each side, so 4 teenage dancers can use at once. The hand tighteners need to be tightened often so the barres don’t slip or go crooked. The same with the base as it easily swivels And needs tightening.Often I have students accidentally lift the barre off the floor during warmup because these are so light, so be cautioned. If we were a ballet only school, I would consider something more substantial, But overall these were good for the price and easy to use and store for a studio that teaches all styles of dance.

Purchased this product for my daughter's 12th birthday during the first quarantine lockdown when her dance studio was forced to close in-person classes. It is absolutely perfect!! It's lightweight and sturdy design make it easy to move around and very safe to use. The assembly was quick and easy too. This is definitely worth the investment. We couldn't be happier with it!

I’ve had this barre for about 3 months. Initial assembly was a bit tedious, but not difficult.I’ve really been enjoying this barre - it’s been great for zoom classes - and I love that I can adjust it to my desired height.A few tips:I weighed this barre down with a couple of sandbags just in case I lean on it too much. I also like the horizontal bars quite high so that also increases the wobbliness.I also make sure I don’t over rely on the barre - as with too much force it will wobble (which to me is also good feedback that I am not as centred as I should be)Make sure you tighten it prior to each use (just good practice)Funnily enough it’s come in handy as a drying rack for ballet clothing / items I needed to hand wash. (Not too wet of course)

I am absolutely thrilled with my purchase of the Vita Vibe Prodigy ballet bar. For starters, I appreciate that this ballet bar was made here in the U.S.A. and the quality definitely shows. The bar was packaged carefully, all of the pieces were present and the instructions were clear. The bar was very easy to assemble--no tools were required. I had it completely assembled by myself in ten minutes. Because the height of each of the bars is completely up to the user, I used a measuring tape in order to make sure that each cross bar was perfectly horizontal, though someone could certainly eyeball it. Please note that it is extremely important to tighten the components completely in order to have maximum stability--if you do this, the bar is just perfect for ballet bar exercises! Highly recommend!

This is an excellent barre for ballet practice: light, portable construction and great functionality. I especially like the fact that all parts are replaceable and available easily, and modular design means it can be upgraded to a different length (4, 5, 6 ft) or feel (metal, wood). And, it is made in USA and with 10 years warranty!I am 135lb and 5'6, and I am going to upgrade it to 5 ft length, to accommodate leg stretches better. I am also going to upgrade to wood crossbars: I did not think of it at the time of purchase, but my hands do get chilly staying in contact with metal during colder months.Regarding stability and sturdiness: there are a lot of conflicting comments among reviewers about this. Here are my two thoughts.1) Sturdiness: this barre is made primarily for ballet use: in ballet, you are supposed to hold your own weight, using barre only for balance. It is not meant for pulling sideways, or hanging off if. (Vita Vibe has fitness barre that is more suitable for those workouts). That being said, I am able to put all my entire weight down on this barre, either hanging off this barre below (as in callanetics workout) or pressing on it from the top in a downward motion--and it holds me just fine.2) Stability: because this is an adjustable barre, there are no "marks" on the crossbars that identify places for setting the bars. So when you assemble the barre, you are the person who determines their level and positioning. If the crossbars are not leveled and align just so, the barre will wobble. I used measuring tape and a level to align everything, and it stands nice and strong. Finally, double barre (as opposed to single ones) are a bit more stable.Last note: Vita Vibe's customer service is amazing. I asked a question, and a seller responded within 24 hours. I also called them directly with a question, and they were very helpful and nice. I am very glad to recommend this barre to others.

I love my ballet barre. I bring it and leave it at work to use in the gym there. It is easy to assemble and take down. I find it sturdy enough for Ballet Body and P57 workouts. You are not supposed to be putting too much weight on it when doing those exercises anyway. I also have the fitness version of this barre that does offer more stability but had to order from the U.S. I'm glad these are available in Canada now directly.Great Barre for great workouts.

I'm 55 yrs old and had been using an unsteady high shelf, chair, or even desk top to do my ballet balancing and stretches. Got tired of the wobbly furniture and decided the price was pretty good on this VitaVibe BD48. Read many reviews at many sites and felt that it would suit my purposes. It came quickly and assembled fast--used a ruler to get the barres the right heights for me. I love that it is adjustable, by the way. I use the bottom barre to stretch out my legs and the top to steady myself when doing ballet moves and upper body stretching. Still getting used to it but since I alternate workouts among weights, target exercises (floor work), a little dancing and the barre, this VitaVibe gets put away when I'm not using it under the bed. It stores easily by removing the base feet and slipping it under. You could leave it standing if you have the room. It's strong enough for my needs and for my fitness level. Really happy with my purchase and looking forward to adding some different exercises.

I am a fitness instructorwith and I bought this to teach my barre class since I cannot mount one in the studio. This works great! 4 people, 2 on each side, can train at one time. The bar is sturdy and has a nice smooth feel. I like the ease of putting it together, the adjustable knobs for tightening and the double bar feature. I like that it is light so I can move it around, although during class we weight it at the bottom so it doesnt move or shift as we train. Great piece of equipment overall!
