I'm not an expert so I don't have a lot of insight into the ease of use and sound quality. I ordered this for my nephew who is getting started on the violin. He seems to think it's good. For my part, it is built well. All the strands were intact and the bow itself seem sturdy. I have no compaints.

Well made, and works well (just remember your rosin!) Looks very nice as well. Recommended.

This is a nice full sized bow that's affordable and feels nice to play. I am not very skilled at violin, but I can tell the ease of playing and sound is much better with this than the bow I had been using, included with the violin. It's light and well balanced, and sounds quite nice. It came well wrapped in a box I'll keep for any future moves.

Years ago, when my mom died, I inherited her 1940s-era student violin and it promptly went in a closet until recently. As a multi-instrumentals, I'm game for trying to play anything, but I have no experience with violin. I put some new strings on it, got the intonation somewhat in the ballpark, and rosined up the bow to give it a try. I sounded horrible, of course! But I quickly discovered that putting a ring modulator on the violin put me into Krautrock territory and I was in heaven. Is this a good bow for the money? I have no idea, but it was functional--unlike the 80 year old bow the violin came with--and I'm making cool avant garde sounds for the electronic music album I'm working on right now. So at a minimum, it's good for absolute beginners like me!

This has been a very nice replacement/backup bow for my viola. I'm a casual player, so I don't have high needs of a bow so this reasonably priced item is perfect for my needs. The camber is good and the bow is straight. At

This carbon fiber bow is head and shoulders above any school-provided instruments. The craftsmanship of this bow is excellent. it has a smooth winding mechanism and is very consistent in weight, balance and feel. It's also much lighter than a wooden bow. However, this could either be good or bad depending on the player in terms of control and performance. Moreover, carbon fiber bow is less affected by variations in temperature and humidity which is ideal for outdoor performance. For students, this bow is more than enough.

A good backup bow for the price. I haven't played it long enough to perhaps get used to it, but my first impression was that it doesn't feel as balanced as my old bow. It feels a bit weighty in the farther away wood bow end, and my hand wants to slip up the bow while playing. Don't go by me though... I am a sloppy fiddler, and I never trained myself to hold the bow in just one position! My old bow just feels lighter weight, and I don't struggle to hold on as much. I do have another bow that is a lot like this one, and I do use it, so it is good to have a few on hand. This bow seemed to rosin up well... quicker and better than I thought it would. The hairs are tight enough, without having to over tighten. Another reason I decided to go ahead and get this is because both my other bows have been attacked by bow mites, and it will cost me more than the cost of this bow to get them rehaired! This will do just fine! It is made well, and it is straight.
