If you’re into shooting video or photography and want to actually see what you’re doing in daylight, this monitor is a lifesaver.First off, 2000 nits of brightness wow. You know those times when you’re outside, squinting at your camera screen, trying to figure out if your shot is in focus or if the exposure’s off? This thing solves that problem. It’s super bright, so even in direct sunlight, you can see everything clearly. No more guessing and hoping the shot turns out okay when you’re in post. Just slap on the included sunshade hood for extra coverage, and you’re good to go.The 6-inch touchscreen is really responsive too. I’ve used other monitors where you’re tapping the screen like it owes you money, but this one actually responds like a modern device should. Plus, it’s the perfect size not too bulky but still big enough to see the details of your shots. And that Full HD 1920x1080 resolution? Crisp and clean. You’ll catch every little thing in your frame.I’ve gotta shout out the 3D LUTs and Focus Peaking here. If you’re color grading, having LUTs right on the monitor is a time-saver. No more waiting until you get back to your editing software to see how the colors will pop you can check it right there while you’re shooting. Focus peaking is another solid feature. It’s super helpful for ensuring your shots are tack-sharp, especially when you’re working with manual lenses or shooting close-ups.The 4K HDMI input/output is great for high-quality monitoring, and it’s compatible with pretty much any camera setup. It’s one of those “plug it in and go” situations—no fuss. Plus, you get some pro-level features like the Vector Scope, which is great if you’re doing serious color work. Maybe not a feature everyone will use, but it’s nice to have that option right there.Battery life is solid, and the fact that it comes with a battery (thank you!) means you’re not scrambling to buy extras right off the bat. For longer shoots, you might want to have a backup battery on hand, but it holds up pretty well for standard filming sessions. Also, it doesn’t weigh much, so you’re not adding unnecessary bulk to your rig, which is always a win.One small downside: the touch controls can be a little tricky if you’ve got bigger fingers. Not a dealbreaker by any means, but you might need to get used to it. Also, some might find the interface a little busy, but once you get the hang of it, it’s smooth sailing.Overall, this monitor is a powerhouse for the price. Whether you’re a pro or just getting serious about your content, it’s a great addition to your kit. You’re getting brightness, pro features, and solid build quality without breaking the bank.Bright, responsive, and packed with features like 3D LUTs, focus peaking, and vector scope. Great for outdoor shoots, and the Full HD touchscreen is a breeze to use. Slight learning curve with the touch controls, but it’s worth the investment if you want to level up your video and photography game!

I really like this monitor. The metal body with cooling fan is awesome and it's a great upgrade in a professional sense from the dc-550 pro in many ways. The touch screen is responsive and the the screen itself is beautiful. The visibility in sunlight is top notch. It is slightly heavy but that was more because of the NP-F battery I had installed, if you are running this off usb or dc power it's not that much more heavy than any other type of monitor. The only issues I had is the I miss the switch on and off from the 550. Not only is this one a hold to turn on, but it also ask you to tap on the screen to confirm turning it off. I couldn't find a way just so that it turns off if you hold the button down in the options. Another thing that's annoying is the hdmi connectors are on the side. Coming from a dc-550 where the hdmi is on the bottom to this means dealing with that cable sticking out of the monitor.I'm really impressed with this monitor though. It works well and looks great.
