Overview
H7/H7S is a professional camera-top monitor specifically for photography and film maker, especially for outdoor video and film shooting. With sunlight viewable brightness 1800nits, this 7 inch LCD monitor has 1920×1200 Full HD native resolution and 1200:1 high contast providing superior picture quality, and support 4K HDMI inputs and loop outputs. Various camera auxiliary functions can be used, such as Audio level meter, 3D-LUT, HDR and User marker, ect. Dual battery plate design with Sony NP-F series supports alternate power supply. Prefessional and strict equipement testing and correction effectively improves monitor durability.
Camera Auxiliary Functions
Povides plenty of auxiliary functions for taking photos and making movies, such as HDR, 3D-LUT, peaking, false color, marker and audio level meter.
Alternate Batteries
The ultra brightness display must be accompanied by higher power consumption. And a single power source always brings annoyance of interrupted operation. Dual battery plate design let the creative time has the possibility of infinitr extension.
HDR
When HDR is activated, the display reproduces a greater dynamic range of luminosity,
allowing lighter and darker details to be displayed more clearly. Effectively enhancing
the overall picture quality. Support ST2084 300 / ST2084 1000 / ST2084 10000 / HLG.
3D LUT
3D-LUT is a table for quickly looking up and output specific color data. By loading different
3D-LUT tables, it can quickly recombine color tone to form different color styles. Rec. 709
color space with built-in 3D-LUT, featuring 8 default logs and 6 user logs.

Build quality is great and seems very solid, has nice features like focus peaking, vector scope, and lots of other things but the screen quality is horrible, in the shadows it looks like you’ve turned your iso all the way up for the worst possible noise you can get then when it’s in decent lighting it looks ok. I have a portkeys and atomos monitor and they are blowing this out of the water. I’ll definitely be returning this monitor.

I work as a dolly grip in film production and use this monitor every day. It has been a terrific purchase. Some days we shoot on stage, others outside and the monitor performs very well in bright sun. Highly recommended.

Great image, very bright. Works great for our need. Takes either SDI or HDMI input, but doesn’t convert from one to the other for pass-thru. Costs a little more than another brand but feels a bit sturdier. Time will tell if it’s worth it.

With both HD-SDI and HDMI this is a great field monitor, the 1800 nits makes it easy to view in the bright sunlight. my only concern long term is the plastic housing. So far so good, only time will tell. At this point I’m ready to buy several more.
