These dental chew tablets seemed promising as a simple way to maintain my dog’s dental health without the daily hassle of brushing. However, the experience turned out to be more mixed than expected. The tablets are quite hard, making it tough for my dog to chew them properly. At first, he gave it a try but soon started spitting it out, even when I tried to hide it in food. The strong, unpleasant smell didn't help matters either. On days when he did manage to chew the tablet, it was still unclear how effective it was at cleaning his teeth, as it seemed more like he was just swallowing chunks instead of really working them with his teeth. While I believe it could be a helpful product for some, the struggle to get my dog to chew it willingly makes it difficult to use consistently. If your dog is less picky or more accustomed to hard chews, these might be worth a shot. For those with dogs that are even remotely choosy or have difficulty with hard textures, it might be better to stick to more familiar dental care methods.

My dog has been having these treats for the past 2 weeks. I like how this is basically a treat and it works like a toothbrush. I used to use greenies but with the recently safety concerns regarding that product, this is a good alternative. The product does have a strong odor but it makes sense as it's meant for dogs not humans lol.

I have a Scottish Terrier with dental issues. I do give her a "greenie" "treat" every day but I feel she needs a bit more for her dental health. These tablets are hard and I was not sure how she would react to them. I handed her one after her dinner - she sniffed at it. I decided to convince her then, and she was encouraged and finally chomped it down. Because these tablets are probably very different from anything your doggie has ever eaten before, I expect they may need to be presented a couple of times before your particular Fido decides it's "okay" to eat. Edit: Lily did great on her recent annual dental exam and I credit these tablets! They are the only thing that I’ve done differently. Reordered and will continue to reorder!I plan to give the rest of these, one nightly, to Lily and I'll find out soon during her yearly physical if they have an impact on her plaque and tartar issues. I am cautiously optimistic they will be of some benefit.

Canine halitosis (a.k.a. doggie breath) - no doubt anyone who owns a dog knows it well. Count our daughter-in-law among them - after all, she's "mom" to not one, but four of them. And when two are almost larger than she is, manually brushing their teeth isn't the easiest of tasks. She was delighted, then, when I gave her this container of toothpaste chews (chicken liver flavored, almost guaranteed to be a hit with the pups). They're designed to remove tartar and plaque; how many to give daily depends on weight (with a maximum of three for large dogs). For her, it's a cool way to make those annual trips to the vet for teeth cleaning a bit less stressful.

My pup loves these chewable toothpaste tablets. She’ll play with it for a couple of minutes, but then googles it up. Much much easier than trying to brush your dog’s teeth. Good choice!

We have 5 dogs, and trying to keep up on all of their teeth is challenging. So the idea of a pill was something I was very excited about. One of our dogs flat out refused to eat the pill. Two of our dogs will eat anything, but don't chew. That was the case with these pills. They just swallowed them and without chewing, they just aren't effective. Two of our dogs actually chewed the pills. I've been giving those two dogs one daily, and so far I haven't seem a big difference, but to be fair I think it would take more time to see the full effect. If you have a picky eater or a hoover, then these probably won't work for you.
