We are long-time users of TropiClean pet dental products, and the brand is recommended by our vet practice. We have two Italian Greyhounds and their breed is notorious for having dental issues. Our first IG had such bad dental problems that he had several teeth extracted over this lifetime. With our second pup, I vowed to take better care of his teeth at all costs and acclimated him to nightly toothbrushing at a young age. Despite his willingness to let me brush and my diligence in doing so every night, he is beginning to develop some tartar at age 4.I have a regular pet toothpaste that I use for brushing, but got this dental gel as an added product to our routine. The package has slightly different directions than the tube and suggests that AFTER BRUSHING, YOU ADD A PEA SIZED DROP TO EACH SIDE OF THE DOG'S MOUTH. You then let the product remain on their teeth for at least 30 minutes without them eating or drinking water. Over time, it claims to help with plaque and killing 99.9% of harmful bacteria. I don't really notice any peanut butter smell, but my dog seems to tolerate the product well. Our six month old puppy is just getting used to dental care and won't let us brush her teeth yet, but she will allow me to apply the drop to each side of her mouth. As her adult teeth just came in, I see this as an important step in helping avoid dental issues for her as well.

So far, *most* of our dogs seem to love this stuff. We're still working with our little Chorkie who doesn't like having her mouth or face messed with. But we'll get there lol. To be completely honest, we haven't opened this tube yet. But it's the same product and flavor that came with our kit that we also ordered. So, I expect there is zero difference in the two tubes. My only hang-up is that I have a hard time not using too much product. I'm the same way with my own toothpaste though. A "drop" can be subjective, and I sometimes feel like there's not enough on the brush. So, I just kind of wing it. None of our pups have complained so far, but everyone's breath smells fresher and sweeter. This is a simple to use, very straightforward product. And I get to feel good about my dogs' oral health being addressed.

My dog seems to actually enjoy the taste of this toothpaste. I use one of those brushes that you wear on your finger to brush his teeth. He does not really enjoy the process but does like to eat this toothpaste. So it has my dogs seal of approval. It comes in a nice box, it smells pretty good, and you get a decent amount for the money. There were no issues with how it is packaged. My dog's breath is fresher after using this, but he goes right out and eats something nasty afterwards. Your mileage my vary.

My dog's not wild about having her teeth brushed so I thought I'd try this toothpaste. She seemed to tolerate it well. I liked the applicator tube and its narrow tip. Since my dog's only ~8 lbs., the tube will last me a long time, making it a good value. I like that they used healthy ingredients and that there was no bad odor. It's nice to know I have the option of using a toothbrush or not. Super easy to use!

I like the concept of this dog tooth gel. My elderly Labrador Retriever has had terrible breath recently, and I suspect that her tooth hygiene could use some work. At her weight, the recommended amount is 3-4 drops per side of the mouth. I applied this gel to her teeth and attempted to get the gel to disperse evenly. I encountered a few problems with this. For one, my dog really did not like me messing with her mouth to apply the gel. I also had a hard time determining what a “drop” was, since it is a gel that is squeezed out of the tube. In addition, my dog did not seem to enjoy the flavor of the gel enough to put up with the indignity of my applying it. I did actually taste the gel myself, and it has a very faint flavor of peanut butter, so is appropriately advertised. However, my dog usually eats anything presented to her, and did not want this gel when offered on a finger. I do want to improve her breath, so will keep trying to use this gel and hope that she gets used to it.

I have a Labrador that, with some reluctance, allows me to clean his mouth. I usually used the toothbrush, but ended with my own fingers.I wanted to try this tooth gel, because as per description seemed easy to use, and have peanut butter flavor.I put the gel on my finger and applied the gel to his mouth, both sides. He liked it. I have to say I give him peanut butter as a treat, 2 or 3 times each week.He followed me for more, and I think, he considered the gel as a treat. After giving the gel, I didn’t let him drink water, as per instructions. Later in the afternoon, my daughter told me that his teeth looked cleaner, and that his mouth smell like mint.I only had to use a small quantity which is good for me. Additionally, when compared with similar product, I find this product to be affordable. Is too soon to write about the positive effect that allegedly this gel will have on his teeth and mouth, but so far, I’m very satisfied with this product.

This dog toothpaste is a huge win, my pup actually likes the peanut butter flavor so there's no struggle to use it. It does not require brushing, just applying it does the trick. It helps keep her breath fresher and her teeth cleaner without any fuss. Plus it's made with safe natural ingredients, which is good for peace of mind. Great option for keeping up with the dogs dental care especially if they don't like brushes

It's good that there is instruction to how many drops are needed depending on the weight of the dog. My dog is about 50 pounds so each time I use 4 drops of the toothpaste to brush his teeth. Since there are flavors in the toothpaste, my dog is okay with me using it to brush his teeth.
