I am an armature, or little better than armature, but I can feel the difference immediately. I would describe the tone as "pure" rather than "bright". the high note is not as bright as I expected but the low note is very solid and condensed. I dont know why there are too many watery sound, which never happened to my yamaha 4c. with so much money spend, I will practice more for sure....

Does a very fine job of replacing my stolen "Tone Master" by Otto Link. Good sound enabling the darker and the brighter at will. So far works best with Java 2.5 to 3 reeds. Haven't experimented with many others. Will improve with lots of testing and adaption.

Very versatile mouthpiece, works with all the reeds I tried on it.

Not without its faults. I like that the mouthpiece comes with the ligature but how come it doesn't come with the mouthpiece cap?. Also, with one of the plates, the some reeds can be a tight fit. Fantastically balanced without being boring. This piece does what ever I want it to do.

Wonderful improvement in depth and tone. I was concerned specific to it's cost, but it was a recommendation from my son's jazz band director. It was well worth it. I'm not a musician, but actually could tell the difference from my son's previous mouth piece. He plays a Cannonball tenor sax. Wish we would have purchased it years back when my son started playing and competing in jazz band for high school.
