#9 mouthpiece plays more like a 7- 7* Link STM. It is very well engineered and the rails are even. It is modeled after other brands and plays almost as well. Gives you a nice Link like tone with more brightness and power! Ligature is very good as well. You can experiment with different narrow ligatures.

The ligature that comes with this MP is a GREAT ligature. It was worth the $$ to get the ligature. But the MP isn’t great

...und mit einem sensationellen Sound.Da kann jedes andere überteuerte MPC einpacken. Egal wie sie alle heissen. Dieses hier klatscht ALLE anderen an die Wand. Jetzt wird einem erst bewusst, was für einen unverschämt, übertrieben hohen Preis sich die anderen sogenannten Topmarken gönnen, auf unsere Kosten. Wie man jedoch hier den besten Beweis hat, ist es auch für wenig Geld möglich. Verarbeitung, Qualität 1A und eine unbeschreibliche Leichtigkeit, fetten Jazz Sound aus den 40's aus seinem Horn erklingen zu lassen. Ich brauch kein anderes mehr und falls doch, weiß ich woher ich das in Zukunft beziehen werde. Absolut alle anderen die ich habe werde ich verscherbeln.Es hat ein wenig länger gedauert aber das warten hat sich mehr als gelohnt.Hier sieht man wie Endkontrolle und Qualität Hand in Hand gehen. Die Box ist so unscheinbar, dass man nicht mal im Traum erwartet das dabei so ein satter und voller Klang sich dahinter verbirgt. Ich kann dieses MPC absolut jedem empfehlen, der zumindest ansatzweise wie Ben Webster fauchen möchte. Könnte jetzt noch einen Roman verfassen, wie genial es klingt aber ich denke das sollte jedem Kenner vollkommen ausreichen. Bin wunschlos glücklich und gebe es auch nicht mehr her 10*

For the price, these make great blanks to reface if you know how but by the time you reface it and pay to have it actually plated, you're up to the price of just buying a real mouthpiece that wasn't made in China with suspicious and possibly toxic chemicals in the paint that are going to put in your mouth.The finish dissolves in paint stripper - so you could strip it and then send it off to be plated. Or you can trust that the Chinese manufacturer is using food safe paint that won't give you cancer.Unless they've changed them since the time I bought mine. I see that in the specs it now says "Copper Plate" but mine is definitely paint and not copper.

Kupilem ustnik z ktorego jestem bardzo zadowolony . Dobra robota swietne wykonanie chyba robili go swietni fachowcy . Piekny krystaliczny ton daje duzo radosci w graniu . I just got this mouthpiece (gold #9) and played it for a while. It's a really good mouthpiece. It looks great and plays great. I actually like it more than my original mouthpiece. Unfortunately, there's a weird smell and taste that shows up while playing. It's concerning. Unless there's a way to eliminate the odor, I will have to shelve it for now. The ligature is too small for the mouthpiece when trying to fit a reed with it.Update: I soaked the mouthpiece in soap and water for a day. It greatly reduced the odor I mentioned. I played the mouthpiece after for a while and it felt like a normal metal mouthpiece, which I am happy about since I really like it. Now, I'm curious about the longevity. I bumped this review up a star. Not 5 stars due to the ligature not fitting and having to soak this mouthpiece in order to play it.

#9. È il quarto bocchino Yibuy di metallo che compro, uno per il soprano, uno per il contralto e due per il tenore. Per il tenore avevo acquistato, e sto usando, un modello un po' diverso, Yibuy B-flat acquistato qui, #7, (nella quarta foto) che trovo ottimo. Ho acquistato anche questo per provare se aveva ancora un timbro più jazz, e secondo me è così. Per quanto mi riguarda la Yibuy sta realizzando prodotti che possono competere con le marche storiche più blasonate. Io ho usato, prima di questi due, un selmer c* di ebanite e un OttoLink 6* che non mi piace per niente. Suono con facilità e con piacere invece questo anche se è un # 9. La legatura, come si vede dalle foto, funziona perfettamente. Uso ance di plastica Legere. La prima volta per la verità ho faticato un po' a metterla, e ho risolto mettendo prima l'ancia e poi la legatura che poi ha preso la forma giusta e la uso normalmente. In conclusione per me é un eccellente bocchino che uso alternativamente all'altro Yibuy. Bisogna sempre considerare che il giudizio è sempre molto soggettivo quindi può darsi che per un altro non vada bene ma se uno vuol provare un bocchino di metallo spendendo una cifra non astronomica, consiglio sia questo che l'altro modello.

The mouthpiece arrived well.The ligature is too small.The plastic cap doesn’t even fit on it when you put the ligature.The screw on the ligature skips after trying to screw it inn.Probably do to short screw.The mouthpiece playes well.Too tight around theneck area,damages the cork.Has potential but needs serious consideration and work.I don’t know if I can recommend if in this condition...

I bought the #9 in gold. This mouthpiece plays extremely well, and it has very nice sound. It is very easy to play, so I might guess that the tip it is really comparable to an Otto Link #6 or 7, but I don't have a way to measure the tip opening. The low notes speak easily for me and have a very rich tone; the higher register plays a bit brighter. Using various reeds I could make the upper register sound warmer. I am not a pro, but I can play a jazz ballad, as well as solo to the rock song "Tequila"... and the mouthpiece seemed at home with both.My teacher commented that the main limitation he found with the mouthpiece is that it might not play as loudly as some other mouthpieces when really pushed.Other reviewers have compared this mouthpiece to mouthpieces that cost hundreds of dollars more, and I agree that many very expensive mouthpieces do not outplay this one. The inside finish work on the baffle doesn't look as fine as you will find on a $300 mouthpiece, but it doesn't look bad. Most importantly, it plays very well.The ligature that came with this mouthpiece did not fit very well and it smells like dye, so I will probably throw it away. I just substituted a Rovner 2M ligature that I already owned, and it worked worked very well with this mouthpiece. Altissimo notes popped better for me with this mouthpiece than on most other mouthpieces. Intonation was very good from top to bottom--- on par with my Vandoran mouthpieces.This mouthpiece is simply an outstanding value, and a joy to play.
