This valve removal and lapping tool set is very impressive for the cost. It is made of very high quality materials and it worked great to remove the valves from my toyota cylinder head. I replaced a broken valve and used this kit to lap the new valve into the cylinder head. It worked great. The kit comes with various sized instruments to fit multiple applications. I recommend anyone who works on cylinder heads to have a set like this.

I wasn't able to figure out how to use this tool to remove the valve keepers from a 5.7L Hemi. It seems lightweight, which isn't the best attribute for tools.

This set has a longer reach then the older ones. It does work well and is good quality. When I got mine it had rust all over it like it had been used before. The latch on the case was broken, and it won't stay shut. It would be a good price for the set if it hadn't had rust on it.

Working to replace a blown head gasket in my Audi A4. I have a lever type valve compressor that I used to remove the valves, but prefer this screw type to assemble the valves, springs, retainer, and keepers in the head. I’ve found this screw tape valve compressor takes a little longer, but makes it easier to compress the valve spring just enough to install the keepers.

This was used on a Honda 400EX. This kit did everything I expected it to do and got the job done. You can tell when in use it's not the heaviest of duty tools and not professional grade materials. However, I don't have a need to use the set often, so the price of $20 this kit is a great value. I would expect to pay many many times more to have this work done in a shop so this kit has already paid for its self several times over on one use on one project.

One of my gasoline backup generators needed some new valve parts to be installed.This toolset will work on large and small motors!It worked very well on the 16HP motor I just serviced.It is easy to use and the toolset is vey durable, the toolset attachment size is accurate, this toolset is definitely a good deal!

This is an inexpensive outstanding kit that will works on valves of many different sizes. I have a Mitsubishi L3E diesel engine that I am rebuilding and within 30 minutes I was able to compress the spring, remove the cap and keepers, release the springs and remove the valve. I was really pleased with the performance of this tool and look forward to the next step when my rebuild kit arrives to lap and reinstall but based on how this tool performed, I anticipate no issues. The one challenge that really is hard to get around is the space to get into grab the keepers is pretty small. I found using a screwdriver to dislodge them and then a magnet was ideal to collect them. I am worried that getting them replaced may be a bit challenging, but that isn't the fault of the tool. Buy this with confidence.

Some of the threads have rust on them and the coating is already flaking when I opened the box. The valve lapping tool also has a gouge on the rubber tip.
