This is a valve spring compressor. It’s used to compress and remove valves. Definitely a good tool to have if you have to repair or change any valves. Like that it has different sizes. A nice little set to add to the tool collection.

I got way in over my head on a mower engine rebuild and ended up having the head re surfaced and new seals for the valves. The head and valves came back to me unassembled so this tool saved the day and allowed me re assemble them with the springs and keepers.
