This provides enough juice to run your radio, but not enough to charge your battery. Clearly states on the back of the device that it provides 6V DC 0.8-2A.Actually only provides 5.5 V -

Works well BUT only with the radios listed. It DOES NOT WORK with the Yaesu VX-6, FT70 FT1, FT2 etc. order the other cable for those radios.
