All my charging cables connect to my phone's charging port just fine, but neither of these two adapters I ordered make a good connection, so I kept losing internet. The C end looks a bit thicker and shorter than my charger's C end, but the pins inside look fine.My solution was to 1) connect the phone, adapter and ethernet cable until internet onnection was successful. 2) Lay the assembly onto a clipboard and 3) fasten everything down with two loops of 1" wide elastic going around the clipboard from side to side. One elastic loop secures the top of the phone. The other secures the adapter brick. A few feet of the ethernet cable curves up the front left side of the clipboard from bottom to top, then around and down the back right side from top to bottom. That portion of the ethernet cable is secured by both of the elastic loops for added stability.

I use this for imaging new laptops in commercial/ industrial environments, as many new laptops don't come with an RJ45 port. It works perfectly every time.
