Work really well! Would buy again, much better than the old time lighters

Good for candles, very annoying noise and offends my cat. Looks great and holds a long charge, and i can even use it for self defense (sorry sister)

Works great charges fast. Kinda loud. Feels like good quality. Size is perfect for deep candles.

My friend has the earlier model, which I loved, but it does sometimes struggle to light things that don't fit inside the prongs or accidentally touch one side of the prongs (it's like playing that old board game "Operation"). This one has two lighting elements and it works so much more reliably and quicker. One side note -- neither good nor bad -- my dog runs to me every time I use it. I think it emits a high frequency that "ignites" her curiosity!

Fits in your hand like you're using a pen! For those who have issues using your hands with other lighters will really enjoy the ease of use with this one. Battery life could be a little better because sometimes it's hard to light candle quickly. It is durable and pretty, lol!

Loved this dual arc long lighters, great for candles and gas stoves but also cigarettes or even twigs for starting a nice campfire. My only complain is that one of the first 3 i bought, failed after 2-3 uses: no arc, no lights toggling it on/off, not even charging. Out of curiosity, i pry the thing open and realized the internal sliding microswitch (trigger) broke. Already ordered 2 more, hoping this was just a fluke, not the indication of a faulty product. I took only one star hoping the rest just keep working

It worked well for a few months, but now it’s facing a weird issue. It takes charge, but suddenly I’m unable to depress the button to use the lighter! Disappointed considering I opted for this one at a slightly higher price point over others with longevity in mind.

I've had one of these for a few months now at least. As mentioned in the review title, it's literally just a straight upgrade to a traditional lighter with no downsides I can see so far. One key feature this unit has that others like it don't is the dual-arc feature. Most arc lighters (in 2023) are single-arc - these work fine but you have less surface area AKA you have to be more precise and it might take a little longer to get flames going. The dual arc feature effectively gives you a "plane" of plasma to push into what ever you're lighting instead of a single line - easier, faster, and really bridges the gap between arc and traditional lighters (pun intended). To compare with traditional lighters, let's imagine we're using one of the traditional long-neck versions. You hold the tip to your candle and pull the trigger. Nothing happens (because there was no gas when you pulled the trigger). You pull it again and the flame lights. Now, you may not think much of this, because this is just the normal experience of a lighter, but it will stick out like a sore thumb after using an arc lighter: when you pull the trigger on an arc lighter, you get an arc. Every time. Wind, rain, sleet, or snow.Let's say you were maybe not so prepared and somehow allowed your lighter to get low and run out of fuel. I think many of us have a backup lighter (or ten) somewhere since they're so cheap. I'd still recommend doing that, but I don't expect to use mine. I'm not sure about you but I have much more convenient access to electricity than I do to lighter fluid. Since the arc lighter is an electric device, it can report how much battery it has left very easily (this one uses 4 LEDs corresponding to 25% increments). When you see the LEDs getting low, you just plug it in (just like you would your phone). I've had to charge mine twice, but even if I had to do it 200 times by now - it's so easy to do, and so easy to know that you need to do it, that it does not matter.And... that's really it. Is it going to change your life? No. But it's a useful tool and it's superior to traditional lighters. I like that it allows me to not need to use fuel, both for monetary reasons and for the admittedly infinitesimally small positive impact to taking care of our planet. I don't see any reason to not have one as my primary lighter ever in the future, and right now, this specific model is the one I recommend, until a triple arc model comes out, or one that is more obviously user serviceable in the event of device failures (this one may be, but I can't confirm)

Unfortunately the battery stopped accepting a charge after the initial recharge. Build quality is questionable.
