The first thing I noticed was that the adapter came in a perfectly sized, durable hard shell case. Next, the adapter is well executed with no sharp edges. The adapter is somewhat heavier (maybe a pound) than other converters, but this is not really an issue for a plug in adapter.Charging adapter worked seamlessly with our 30 AMP charging system (not Tesla specific) and charging speed was better than another adapter I have (that does not advertise a speed advantage through compatibility with several charging station levels) - a charge normally taking 7 hours completed in about 6 hours . I have to find a generic supercharger to test the speed claims and will update this review once I have. The cost of the item is significant, so this is important. So far so good.

For use with Teslas. Allows you to use J1772 chargers (the charging standard for many other EVs) with your Tesla vehicle. These charging stations generally aren't as fast as Tesla chargers. Nor as fast as CCS/CCS1 chargers (another standard.) But often you don't have a choice of where you can charge and the convenience factor is great.This adapter works great. Exactly as you'd expect.

Does not fully engage CCS connector. Tested on Chargepoint and EV Connect station. Due to the way this is physically designed, the latch wouldn’t fully insert, so it would not charge my car. See photo.

I purchased this 1/26/25 and it no longer works. The first few times it worked fine. In the last few weeks it randomly stops charging. Today (2/13/25) it stopped and part of the connection pieces are popped out and black as if they are burnt.I no longer have the option to return it because it’s a few days past the allowable date.I contacted Amazon and was told that I need to contact the seller. I used the seller link Amazon provided me and it put me in a continuous Amazon Chat bot loop, hence I’m leaving this message.

I got this for my husband to have as an extra adapter since he often drives to rural areas. - we have a Model S. Functionally it works great. I do agree with one reviewer in that it does not have a locking mechanism, so it's a bit of hassle to have to stay by the car when charging. Great to have for traveling. Okay price value.

Love the product, it can be used for high speed high voltage DC charging to take advantage of the full capacity of the charger, and it can also be used for AC level 2 charging with the J1772 connector only. One device serves both functions, and it comes with a great carrying pouch, so it's super convenient and feels solid. I truly love it despite only 3 stars. The reason for removing two stars is because this device is mostly meant for when i travel, and i can't guarantee security at random locations while travelling, i have no way to prevent theft of this thing and it's an attractive tool. There is no way to lock it so that random person won't be tempted to pull the plug and release the adapter, and either steal it, or steal my charging session just because their need takes precedence to mine.

Purchased this for the cybertruck but I wasn't able to get it to work on a chargepoint CCS combo charger. The CCS adapter fits into the truck's charge port but it wouldn't charge. I tried multiple times and couldn't get it to charge. Unless I was just given a bad CCS adapter, it didn't seem compatible. I did notice a couple of marks on the ccs adapter after removing it from the charger as if it couldn't seat properly from the charger to this charge adapter. I went to a chargepoint charger and it didn't workResponse to "EffOil" on February 10, 2025Look at the title and the pics. It CLEARY shows that it does work with the Cybertruck
