I don't recommend this. It's a piece of China made junk. The key that supposedly fit my 2003 9.9 horsepower 2 Stroke Mercury outboard broke the first time I tried to install it. If you look at my picture there ISN'T SUPPOSED TO BE A GAP in the round ended part in the attached picture. By the way, I stopped at my local Mercury dealer today. They are GIVING THEM AWAY, so I got to compare this one against the OEM one. First thing you notice is that the OEM one is Made in the USA. Second, there is no wrist strap with the OEM one, but if you just need a key and lanyard for a Mercury, they give them away as some sort of promo/safety program. Run away from this. This one is going back.
