You think there wouldn't be that many parts for a headboard but with this there's a ton. They basically cut this into small parts to what I'm guessing was to fit it in the smallest box they could. Which means you have to put all together. If they would have just put it in a longer thinner box it would be much better. Also the remote for the light strip is super cheap junk and doesn't work at all, so that feature is a waste. Yes I pulled the insulator for the battery and the unlock button on the remote. Nothing. Once it's all together it's a decent headboard.Update: Remote sent with dead battery, replaced, now the cheap feeling remote works.
