I'm not good enough at making coffee to be able to eye-ball everything.This scale is so much more precise and I get a much better tasting cup of coffee by measuring it.My method is to do pour over after hand-grinding the beans. Now I feel like I have it down more to a 'science' with this scale.

The extra functions make it a bit harder to navigate. By peeling off the plastic cover and using the manual makes it easier to understand all features. The auto tare is great and only available in more expensive scales. It is far better than formerly used scales. It saved me money to go to more expensive ones. I have no issue with accuracy. It looks nicely built with glass top, rechargeable battery and touch features. Highly recommended.

The Ultrean Coffee Scale is highly accurate, much more so than my old gram scale, which is a big plus. The LCD display is easy to read, and it comes with a variety of features that could be useful for serious coffee enthusiasts.However, it’s not as intuitive to use as a standard scale. The extra functions, while potentially great, make it a bit harder to navigate. I’m hoping to grow into its features over time, but for now, it feels a little cumbersome. If you want a simple, no-fuss scale, this might not be the best pick, but if you're willing to learn, it has a lot to offer.

This scale is very sleek looking and is precise enough for pour overs, matcha, and espressos which I use it for. It is rechargeable and will hold power for a good amount of uses since it has an auto-off feature if nothing is on it for a couple minutes. The numbers on the scale are very easy to see since the font is pretty large and bright. It does come with a silicone pad for any spill or overspray which a must have since the clear surface is likely made of acrylic and will scratch. Overall, very happy with the order.

Upscale and I'm not just making a pun. Everything from the packaging to the item itself is very nice quality and looks sleek and modern. Love that it is rechargeable with USB-C. Just like you would expect from a modern electronic device. Instructions provided are clear and helpful due to the numerous features available. Despite the features, it's also intuitive. The first time I used it I didn't read any instructions and turning it on and using the tare feature was super straightforward. I like that it includes a silicone mat to prevent any damage to the glass top of the scale, it fits on there nicely. I used it to make my coffee this morning and compared the weight of my coffee and several other things I had lying on the counter nearby with the reading from my Hario scale I have, so this thing is accurate. By default there is a beep sound when you push buttons on the scale, but I like that you can mute it with a setting. Overall very nice, looks good and rechargeable is a win.

This is the perfect scale for making “pour-over coffee”. The weight is accurate and can be reset to zero after adding ground coffee so that you can accurately measure the water. The timer can be automatic or manual depending on your own personal coffee making process. The silicone “cover” keeps the hot water from affecting the scale, as well as helping it stay clean.It also makes a great general kitchen scale measuring in ounces, pounds (ex: 2.4 lbs), pounds and ounces (ex: 2 lb. 11 oz.), fluid ounces, and grams. It’s easy to read with its illuminated numbers and it allows the user to take (reset to zero) so you can measure ingredients as you add them to a recipe. AND no batteries to replace. It recharges with a standard USB-C cable.Highly recommended!

I use this more for spices than for coffee as I frequently try recipes that have spices in grams. It’s very easy to use once you read the instructions (which are conveniently printed on the plastic protective sticker you peel off before using). It does have an auto mode that automatically tares the weight after 5 seconds, however for some reason you can’t change the units when in auto mode. Manual mode requires you to manually tare the scale, which I find preferable, and also lets you change between multiple metric and imperial measures.I also like that it is rechargeable with an included usb-c cord and the battery will last a while before needing recharge. The display is also bright and easy to read and the scale seems very accurate down to the thousandth decimal point.Overall very happy with this and will use it whenever I need to cook a recipe that has metric units.
