The "HOMEREALM Food Scale" is a good looking sleek food scale. We have several other kitchen scales but my wife instantly fell in love with how this looks on the counter - she says she does not need to hide this scale! We have been counting calorie and fiber and this has been very helpful for that purpose. It is easy to turn on, easy to tare and reads the weight instantly. I checked against a much expensive scale and the weight was accurate.Keep in mind that it rounds things to the nearest gram. If you plan to use this for coffee weighing, this will not work due to this shortcoming.I do not have a use for the bluetooth function and dont use any calorie counting apps.I was amazed at the price of this product at just $9.99, at the time of this review.

This kitchen scale is a great addition for anybody who likes to cook, bake or prep dinners for the week. The LED display is bright and easy to read and the tare function makes measuring ingredients fast and easy. It has a high precision level up to about 20lbs but I don't think it can weigh 'very light things' extremely accurately, usually the higher the capacity of the scale the less it's going to work for weighing out a tiny amount of something.. but that is not what this scale is for!! This is a great go to Real Scale that can be used so often. It even has a Bluetooth feature for tracking nutritional info, it has a waterproof design for fast cleanup, great value for the price. It is AMAZING that it goes up to 20lbs for all sorts of needs

My use does not involve foods, but if it did, I this scale would be VERY hard to beat. Its fit and finish are absolutely top-notch and would fit anywhere. The upper surface is glass or a high gloss ceramic, easy to clean, and difficult to scuff. As for accuracy, I tried it against another similar scale that has proven very reliable, and they varied by about 6 grams at 850. I do not know which is right, and at a variation of less than 1%, I do not care.I think I would prefer that it was rechargeable rather than 3A batteries, but my experience with the other unit says life will be akin to a TV remote. It has a QR code to download a phone app to tie into the Bluetooth. I took a look at it, knowing I did not care, and it wanted me to register/password/etc. I stopped there. The scale functions fine without.I like this scale a lot. That began with the rather oddly high max of 22lbs, which suits my use. The great looks are wasted on me, but appreciated.

Great scale for up to about 20 lbs. of weighting things. It was easy to turn on and change the units. It already came with batteries as well. It was smaller than I though it would be, but that was fine. I weight things mainly for baking. The one thing to note is that you can't use bowls that are too big otherwise you can't see the screen which is within the lower portion of the scale. It has very bright numbers that are easily visible. It also has an app with Bluetooth if you want to be able to keep note of food you weight for health reasons. One thing I do notice since the power button is just with a gentle touch, you do have to be careful when putting it away as you can easily turn it on in the bottom right corner when you pick it up. Just one thing to note that you can easily turn it on without realizing it.

The HOMEREALM Food Scale, Waterproof Digital Kitchen Scale for Cooking is reasonably functional if what you're weighing is above a quarter to half oz or so, but I would spend the money and get a better device.• Biggest drawback: questionable accuracy at low weights. Weights were almost always 1-2 grams lower when compared to a 4-star digital scale I got from Amazon years ago and like a lot. That's not a big deal when you're weighing something fairly heavy, but I would not trust this scale for measuring of a small amount of matcha powder.• The scale did not tare properly when I used a 1 g medicine cup as my container. Whereas after taring, my older scale registered -1 g after I lifted the cup, the Homerealm stayed at zero. When I dropped exactly 5 ml of water into the cup my old scale gave an accurate weight of 5 g, the Homerealm claimed 6g (which was weird because the Homerealm usually read lower than the older scale)• The Homerealm is small, half the size of my older scale. As such it was prone to giving different readings based on the orientation of the item on it. The small size also makes using a wide mixing bowl difficult.• It shows two decimal points only for lbs (none for grams and only one for oz) - this makes it hard to add material because it's hard to tell when you're getting close to your goal• If there's bright light (e.g. sunlight) shining on the scale, it's hard to read because the LED is white on a white background• It uses triple-A batteries - not my favorite because they tend to get depleted easily• I'll probably use this as a postage scale. It told me that an item that weighed an ounce using an old-school analog handheld scale (hard to mess that up) was about an ounce.I didn't test the app which I had no use for, but will say that before installing any foreign app, you need to carefully check the reviews on the platform for your device, as foreign apps for Amazon products have been caught stealing clipboards and increasing the amount of spam people get.
