I've had a Hunter ceiling fan for 15-20 years. The original UC7848T remote kept getting hard to push the buttons so I'd take it apart and clean the contacts with a pencil eraser. It would work for a few weeks and then I had to take it apart and ckean the contacts again. Eventually the battery pigtail broke and I had to solder on a new one. The fan is mounted over a bed so it would be hard to remove the receiver to replace it and the remote. I finally found and bought this one. It just arrived. The DIP switches inside were set exactly as my old remote was (I guess I used the default settings originally). I instalked the battery and it works great! Very happy. Highly recommend this remote if you're looking for a replacement for an old UC7848T!

It's a different shape than our original, so it doesn't fit in the same place we had the original, but it works perfectly with the fan and the light. It's a winner in our book given we can't buy the original remote anymore.

I have a remote now that works. All three speeds and lights. Thank you so much to the people who made this. I thought I would have to buy a new one. It worked directly from the package I got. I was well protected too. Best purchase so far.

I am thrilled that I finally found a remote with 5 pins for a Hunter fan that worked! I have been searching for one for several years and came across this one here. It is pricey, however it have a ceiling fan work again after several years, was worth it!

I bought this to replace a 22-year old Hunter model UC7848 fan remote. It works perfectly. Setup was super easy - just set the DIP switches to match the settings in the old remote, insert a 9V battery, and start using. It seems well built and does everything that the original one did. I'm very satisfied with my purchase. It arrived earlier than promised and it was very well packaged.

Worked perfectly. The picture of the remote it replaces was beyond helpful. The Manufacturer wanted me to climb up to check the model number on the top of the fan, located at the peak of a 30' ceiling. They couldn't help me otherwise, even with model # and picture of the remote I was replacing. Worked right out of the box. Do keep your old remote until you confirm the new one works. You do need to check that the dip switches are in the same position. This remote uses 5 dip switches, 4 won't work.

My old remote was 25 years old, and the buttons were worn out. This remote uses the exact same chip inside and works perfect.!!!
