Light Dimmer button just controls the brightness of halogen and incandescent lamps, also compatible with some dimmable LED/CFL lights. Most LED/CFL lights are Not Dimmable, and the Light Dimmer button only control the On/Off in this case.
Set different PIN codes when controlling multiple ceiling fans
Note: If you have multiple fan lights in your house, please check if their PIN codes are different. Otherwise, this will cause the remote control next door to turn on your ceiling fan. This is likely to cause your ceiling fan to function inexplicably when you are not at home.
Please make sure your original remote control look same as the one on the picture.
Check the part number on the back of your original remote, it need to have one of the FCC ID/Model numbers listed below.

How To Use
- Normally, after you unpack the package and install the battery in the new remote, it will work. If not, please see below.
- This is the remote control for the ceiling fan. They should match the switches on the transmitter inside the ceiling fan.As long as the fan has the receiver in it this remote will work with your Hampton Bay ceiling fans. Just remember to set the 4 dip switches inside the battery compartment(they are kinda hidden behind the slot for the battery itself). Look inside the old remote with the battery cover off, there is a series of "DIP" switches(4) with a pen.

I had a harley davidson fan and when we moved we lost the remote. That fan will only stay in whatever position it was in. So ordered this remote and now everything works great

The remote for our Craftmade ceiling fan was misplaced, and we needed a replacement. The original remote had a button to move the fan in REVERSE, so wanted one with that feature. This one was one of the few that was capable of doing that. Was not sure whether it would work as our fan is Craftmade and this is a Hampton Bay replacement. Saw a few videos which helped me locate where the Dip Switches are located on our fan. It looked like the same 4 switches that most fans have. So decided to try this out.Just had to put in a 9v battery and it was ready to go. Matched the code switches to that in the fan receiver unit and it worked immediately. Very happy with the purchase.

It took a while to track this down, but this is a perfect replacement for the discontinued Hunter remote.BTW Hunter customer service was useless. Their only solution was to offer me a discount on a complete new ceiling fan when all I needed was a new remote which they quit providing. They no longer support their products like they did for many years in the past. If they cared at all about what is best for customers they would supply this exact remote that I found rather than try to trick customers into buying a new fan.
