My ‘04 Wrangler has body mounts that sit inside of a saddle on the body. This kit directs you to use the same body mounts & sandwich this flat plate between the body & the mounts. This leaves 1/2” gap on the front body mounts and 1” on the rear. You could probably get some longer bolts and crank it all together, if you’re an idiot, but I wouldn’t recommend it. 2 shorter body bushings would be helpful.

The bolts that come with package have the rivetnuts so if you do not have tool to install properly need to find nuts and lock washers to put on inside

Really good bars. I get a lot of compliments on them. They are extremely well made. Only giving 4 out of 5 stars because of the hardware provided. Didn't match up with the instructions. I ended up using other hardware. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on bars. I'm glad I purchased these. Really great looking bars without spending a ton of money.

Definitely need to get a rivnut install tool to do this right. You will have to drill I to your tub to install this. Make sure this is what you want. If you take it off the rivnuts will leave holes.

If not these may be difficult to install. Before you start go buy some M10 nuts because the included Riv Nuts are not gonna work best. You’re gonna have to remove body bolts with a breaker bar and a electric socket so be prepared for that. Had to use a jack and some 2x4s to lift the body off the frame in order to get clearance for the bottom plates. If you own a older Jeep like mine (1998 TJ) be ready to knock some rust off with a hammer to get the plate to slide in the mounts. Make sure you use a jack to get the rock slides level before drilling the bolts into the body. Took about 3 hours all together. But my Jeep is pretty rust free and I have plenty of tools so I was able to knock em out quick. Went great. Just make sure you take your time and pay attention to what you’re doing.
