  • Yagi antenna can be used both indoors and outdoors, compatible with most amateur radio device
  • High gain
  • Strong directionality
  • Strong anti-jamming
  • Realize long distance communication
  • Simple construction, lightweight and easy assembly and disassembly

  • When receiving, when the vibrator is perpendicular to the ground, it is conducive to long-distance communication. If the vibrator is parallel to the ground, it will affect the gain and form an Angle with the ground, which is not conducive to long-distance communication.

UAYESOK Store: If you have any questions about the product, we'll be happy to serve you,We will reply to you within 12 hours.

Note:

1. It is not for use on the 2meter band, CB band or wifi.

2. Never mount a vertically polarized yagi in the middle of the boom on a metal mast.

3. The Yagi antenna is no need operates for a grounding in most cases. But you can ground antenna via the outer conductor of the connector and the cable, or through the mounting hardware, you can install a lightning surge protector between the Yagi and a device to prevent a lightning strike to the antenna from damaging your device and equipment.

Questions: Is the SWR of the antenna to be less than 1.5?

Answer :

Antennas are rigorously tested by a comprehensive measuring instrument before the delivery, the SWR conforms to the technical parameters provided by the manufacturer (less than 1.5) within the frequency range of the antenna. The test results of SWR are affected by many factors, such as test frequency, antenna installation mode and installation position, feeder line, test instrument and so on,SWR may not less than 1.5 under your test environment. Generally speaking, antennas can be used normally when SWR under 2.0. Normally, a calibration kit is required to accurately test the SWR of the antenna itself. If your antenna's swr is too high,we will be happy to analyze and solve for you.

Works great. Better signal now.

Made of light aluminum. Some what sturdy. The main sections were loose fitting. Some of the screws did notHold well. The SWR is above 1.5 and could not get it below 1.6. tried contactingManufacture with no response. Wondering if 11db gain is correct.Antenna does work but doubt it has 11 db gain.

The coax simply cannot be connected with the u-bolt in the location it is in. Also, the manufacturer sends suspiciously identical assembly instructions as the HYS 5 element antenna has. Word-for-word identical, even the words that are incorrect grammar. Suspect same factory under guise of different manufacturers. Will return this.

I moved the mount to the back. there was not enough room to attach the coax. (Belden 9913) I have a flat match on 467.675Mhz and a 1.4 on 462.675. I have talked hundreds of miles full quieting with this antenna during band openings. Normal range is about 35-40 miles to a repeater. and about 15-20 miles simplex @30 ft.

This TWAYRDIO 7 element 11dBi antenna works well in my long distance gate opener application operating on 433 MHz. It comes shipped disassembled in a small package, and is very easy to assemble with good instructions. The antenna comes equipped with a SL16 connector for the coax cable. The SL16 is similar to the old SO239 connector, also known as a UHF connector, and it connects directly to a PL259 (UHF) connector. For my application, my RG6 coax cables terminate in Type F connectors, requiring an adapter to the SL16. As shown in the picture, the additional length of the adapter required drilling two new 1/4" holes in the antenna boom and moving the u-bolt that attaches the antenna to the pole about an inch farther away from the connector. I added large stainless steel washers to better distribute the load. The adapter that connects coax with Type F to SL16 is https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CXNG9O8.Update 6/27/23:I re-read the listing for this antenna, and found the following note:"2. Never mount a vertically polarized Yagi in the middle of the boom on a metal mast."Apparently, the presence of a metal mast among the antenna elements negatively alters the pattern. Since I'm using a metal mast, I drilled two new holes and relocated the mast mounting point to the end of the boom, as you can see in the picture. Frankly, it's surprising that this antenna is not supplied this way in the first place.

So, far the Yagi has been able to rx a 8 watt Baofeng handheld with 6dbi antenna from 10 miles away at ground level. I was able to get tx squelch tail on repeater over 19 miles away on a 30ft mast.

I am extremely impressed with this 7 element. I did some reading and discovered not to ground it to a metal pole it will lower the overall performance and that was correct in my case. I wrapped rubber around my metal pole and then clamped it over the rubber and performance improved. I'm getting well over a 100 miles with a15 watt radio at 40 foot. (2 repeater's over 100miles/ some repeaters I cannot hit at 50 mi away) I assume there's something blocking me or those repeaters are not up high enough. I'm also using 54 ft of LMR 400 coax. My SWR is a 1.2 at its highest. I am not impressed with the little hex keys that tightens the adjustment for the swr don't tighten down firmly until you get them to where you want them to stay, you're tool will slip. The build of the beam and the quality of the materials are more than sufficient. Extremely easy to put together it was numbered.

When I first installed this antenna I thought it was terrible. It was easy to assemble with each of the elements marked clearly. I installed it on a 10 ft metal pole and it tested good for SWR but it worked like a wet noodle. it had no gain at all and was not directional. I later learned that it should be mounted on a PVC mast so I added a 5 ft PVC pipe to the top of the metal pole and mounted the beam on the top of the PVC and carefully ran the coax back along the beam to the PVC and then down the mast. This time it worked really nice. I can now hit a GMRS repeater over 80 miles away with full quieting full signal strength reports. I am totally pleased with the antenna now.
