I didn't want it to be too easy for someone to steal the new carbon fiber post and seat from my new Mongoose Title Elite Pro XXL, so I ditched the OE Mongoose quick clamp. This 31.8 clamp fit perfectly and holds the CF post securely at 4 Nm torque. What would've made it perfect is, 1) if they'd used stainless steel in the screw and retainer, rather than the plain zinc-coated steel they used (as zinc doesn't provide much resistance to rust), and, 2) if they'd used a tamper-resistant security screw with a pin in the middle for increased difficulty in removal, rather than the bog-standard 4 mm hex screw it comes with.
