The finish is good enough and the closing motion is smooth. My previous clamp was scratchy when closing but this one was effortless to close. It keeps my seat in place and allows for quick adjustments.It has a rim up top to keep the clamp from falling down, and it will fit on the standard bike seat tube.

My Specialized bike came with a seat post clamp that did not have a quick release so I opted for this one for quick seat height adjustments. It works perfectly! Has a nice lip on the inside to seat it against the frame flush, and the thumb adjustment and lever require no tools to give precise adjustments!
