I was in the market for an inexpensive but usable indicator and bought this one and have been happy with it. Later I bought a second indicator a WEN 10703. They are close to the same price but this one the Triton is superior based on the smoothness of operation and general feeling of quality. Been using now pretty regularly for a couple of years with no trouble.

This dial indicator was misrepresented. According to the picture of the product that I purchased, the small dial, in the face contained 10 characters numbering from 0 to 9. The indicator sent to me did not. It contains 5 sets of tiny numbers indicating the hundredths travelled. I've never sent anything back and I did not want the headache of doing so. I was able to sell the indicator sent to me to someone that did not mind this method of keeping up with hundredths. Plainly stated, this item was misrepresented!!

I have no idea how accurate it is, I don't have anything to compare it to, but it seems pretty good so far. I'm using it to level out a 3d printer bed, and for that it seems ideal. I don't know how long it will hold up, I'm pretty gentle with it but I know some of these have flaws.It's all metal with a lug on the back for mounting (which I don't need, but nice for future use) Comes in a styrofoam clamshell with a card sleeve to hold it together. Perhaps the price savings over other indicators come from the storage situation.

Lo primero que probé, fue el ajuste de la caratula pues vi comentarios de que funcionaba con dificultad, pero este se mueve con suavidad en las dos direcciones y se fija muy fácilmente. espero pronto adaptarlo a las bases para ajustar mis herramientas de carpinteria.

I own Mitutoyo indicators but only use them on rare occasions, this import model is my new workhorse. It is very accurate and I have not seen any issues or red flags with this indicator after several months of professional use. If you're like me and like to have a good collection of indicators for your machinist work, grab a couple of these and keep the top shelf stuff in your toolbox and only dig them out when absolutely necessary, or if you ever need a "second opinion" from a different gage.

I don't know why I didn't purchase this dial indicator sooner. This is the only one I have so I can't compare it to any others but it appears accurate enough for my woodworking needs, and it's extremely consistent. I took measurements a few times on for my table saw fence and blade and ended up with the exact same readings each time. Hand movement is very smooth and sensitive and the ring is easy to spin. I was concerned the ring might be difficult to rotate based on some of the reviews but that is not the case at all. There is a locking screw or whatever you want to call it for the ring that has to be loosened, so maybe some of the people didn't realize that, although it's very obvious. Anyway, this thing works great and is a pleasure to use. I can't believe I waited so long to buy one. Highly recommended!
