Each revolution is 0.050", indicated by the revolution counter. The resolution is 0.0005". There is a mounting lug on the back of the case.

Looks nice and good quality at the price point. I had to return a Test indicator because of the pointer set and broken things in it's storage box. But the Dial Indicator seems quite nice. I've read some negative reviews on these. Maybe it's some are bad like the Test Indicator. But the one that I got is rather nice. Test Indicators are another animal altogether!

Low quality, the gauge shakes with movement. Also the to rotate the indicator can be tricky. A harbor freight indicator is better then this thing.
