Spur gear, 55-tooth, 48 pitch. Optional Traxxas spur gears allow you to increase or decrease the final drive ratio and tune for different applications. Smaller gears will increase the speed of the vehicle while larger gears will increase the torque.

I don't know why, but this one was unreliable in all means, I used it in e-revo 1/16 vxl and it didn't last more than 2 days, at the end I bought third party Metallic gear which is working for more than a month now, I think that would be the best choice for anyone wants to have less headaches in changing the gear every week to go for metallic spur gear!

OEM Traxxas part for a 1/16 E-Revo. I use this with a 16T pinion to keep a Velineon 3500 + VXL 3s limited in speed for my less experienced friends without having to use training mode. Contrary to what the manual says the combo fits and works perfectly. I have doubts whether a smaller pinion would mesh though.A side note on the Velineon setup for anyone curious, It's the VXL system that comes in the Slash 4x4 so its quite oversized for this car but it works and is extremely fast.

I've replaced my spur gear multiple times - including a metal spur gear. It was user error. Take the covers off where your motor mounts and get the gear mesh right - including the depth of the pinion on the motor shaft. From there, make sure your slipper clutch isn't locked down. Granted, you won't pull a wheelie going from reverse to full throttle, but you won't be burning through spur gears either. It's called a slipper clutch for a reason, let the thing slip a bit. Once I took care of these issues on my car I haven't stripped one spur gear.
