I am an OEM guy and always buy OEM or OEM plus parts. Thus when I upgraded from the 13 tooth to the 16 tooth pinion gear for my Traxxas Sledge I opted for the Traxxas version. This quickly broke on the first run, probably not Trx fault as it's very possible a rock got stuck in there and broke one of the teeth. The big difference between the two is this is a stronger gear, and then the worm screw is the next size up. My recommendation is when you receive clean any oil off of the gear and the screw apply blue loctite to not only the shaft of your motor but also the screw. Let's sit for 24 hours then go bash.

The gear is perfect just make sure to tighten it very well before driving or else it will chew up your spur gear!
