All the plastic stripped early . After upgrading to steel axles , the weak point became spur gear . Used this steel gear and fixed the issue . Works well with pin setting . I stick with Traxxas parts.

Looks good! Just an fyi this is not a hardened steel gear. It's what they call Traxxas monkey metal. This is going in my over powered x Maxx. I'm running a hobby wing max 6 on punch 5 setting. Should be fun to see how fast I can shred up this gear. I bought it by mistake thinking it was a hardened steel but that is part number 6448x not 6448r. 6448r is short money so don't care

Don’t have very much drive time in on this gear. Decided to do a good go over on everything since it’s down due to the need for new tires and seen the gear is all ate up. Going back to plastic since there were never any issues with it.
